The Old Post Office

My room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. There was typical pub noise for a Saturday night, which I was fine with. The WiFi wasn't working for me, but as I was hardly in the room this wasn't something that bothered me.

Close to both Rail & Bus links. Short walk to centre.

The very basis of basic room.. I have a double on suite. Over my 2 nights I had no hot water stall despite bringing this to the receptions attention. Loud thumping music until after midnight. My room overlooked the rear of the pub but shouting and loud talking when people came out for a smoke break.. I would not stay here again . I have stayed in many places but this has to be the worse.

Ideal location right by Railway Station easy too get round Halifax from Hotel as it’s all compact .Room was nice and big bathroom and they cater for disabled people as there’s ramp too entrance and the bathroom was ideal .It was great for a stay can’t fault it put your key through letterbox on departure as easy as that .

The location was spot on but the room needs a watch your head sign as the celling in the bathroom is a bit low

Limited parking (only about 6 spaces). Rooms are above a pub with a function room. Stayed on a weekend so it was extremely noisy, music noise from below. There is a small tv and tea and coffee making facilities. Sachets of shampoo and shower gel are provided but there is no hair dryer available. The bathroom smelt of cigarette smoke and had dirty marks on the wall. The bed was ok but was up against a wall so you could only get in from one side or the bottom which may not be ideal for everyone. The external door from the car park has a Yale lock and is supposed to be kept locked. It was locked open several times. Also the door does not shut properly and has no handle on the outside so you can't pull it shut. You can do it with the key but after you have posted your key to check out there is nothing you can do to lock it shut. That concerned me as anyone could then access the room area.

Floor dirty. Shower mouldy and floor covered in hair. Power shower luke warm on max. Kettle on floor. Mirror at height useful for brushing a belly button.

This was a work trip.the room was quite basic,no soap or shampoo was provided,there was a small water leak from the bathroom radiator,the bed was comfortable

How they can call this a hotel. What a tip. Bed really uncomfortable, very old, cloth seat in room ripped and stinking, light shades full of dead flies floors need good sweep and mop, toilet door no handle just wood screw sticking out, broken toilet seat , shower and toilet filthy. Room not cleaned daily. No tea facilities replenished each day. Complained to manager he was so far up his own backside he thought it was funny. Stay well clear. Dump

The staff were v.good but rooms were basic me and my husband had to change rooms as our first room was damaged by a previous guest we stayed two nights and we will not be staying again
