Needs some updating- carpet torn and well worn. TV had poor reception.

This hotel is tired but good price while building works around Major complaint is only one chair in a double room

There’s a great market- fresh and prepared options right behind the property. Bus is a 10 min walk. Ample parking. Building is a bit tired and walls need some attention.

The Good: Free parking Reasonably fast and stable free wi-fi Aircon quiet and worked well Comfortable and huge king beds Good size unit Good size wardrobes/storage The Bad: Bathrooms stank. Had to open every window for hours before venturing back in there. Curtains were broken and ripped. Lounge was old and very uncomfortable. Housekeeping terrible. Place did not look clean and there were stains on towels. Unfortunately my towel had so many marks/stains that it was unusable. How could housekeeping miss this? Gaping holes and cracks in bathroom tiles. Paint peeling off walls. Dirty wall and floor tiles. Shower door did not close. This place desperately requires a renovation. At the very least needs a deep clean, new lounges and curtains and maintenance issues fixed. And new, clean towels!

Good place to stay

Dreadful experience here. I’ve stayed in many hotels across Australia and unfortunately this was one of the worst. - When we arrived, we wait approx 10-15 minutes while the reception clerk was on the phone. Not once during the call did he quickly say to us ‘sorry I’ll just be a minute’, and when he got off the phone he didn’t apologise for the inconvenience at all or didn’t even thank us for your patience. This is basic customer service and as someone who worked in customer service for many years I was not impressed. - The room was extremely stuffy and had a bad smell when we arrived- I think due to windows etc being closed. The smell stopped mostly after we opened the windows but before that the smell was really bad. - For some reason our TV didn’t have the two main free-to-air TV channels (Prime and WIN). We cycled through every channel multiple times just to make sure we weren’t going crazy (to no avail). - A couple of the towels had marks on them (one a red mark which hopefully wasn’t a blood stain, and another had a brown mark). - Some of the curtains had rips in them. There were also some blood stains on some of the bedsheets. - The lounge was one of the most uncomfortable we’d ever sat on. We found the dining chairs more comfortable ironically. - The carpark area seemed quite unsafe. Most times we went outside during the night there were people loitering about smoking/drinking etc near the cars. We didn’t end up having issues with them but people out there for a lot of the night created an uneasy vibe. - One of the shower doors didn’t close fully, and the other shower door’s handle was really low making it a bit of a pain to open the door. Also we were hoping the use the supplied shower products but unfortunately most of the writing on the bottles were too worn away to see what was actually in them. The two positives I can think of are that the bed was fairly comfortable/easy to sleep in and the showers had good water pressure. And there was sufficient parking despite what I’ve said above.

First night was fantastic, lovely large king room, very quiet. Tv in bedroom did not work, and shower rose fell off when I tried to adjust the angle, reported and shower fixed asap, tv no such luck, bed was super soft which left me with aches and pains and in need of a physio, 2 nd night, I could hear neighbors on both sides in their rooms, soundproofing needs to be looked at. 3 rd night was all good again, no neighbors

Cheap

Reception closed at 9:30am so I couldn't check out. Even though staff hours was supposed to be 8-11am. Rang the after-hours phone and it went to an answering machine. Left my phone number for them to call me back. It is now over 8 hours later and no one has called me back still.
