Never fails to please. We have stayed at The Lion several times now and every single stay has been a wonderful experience. Always a very warm welcome from the amazing, friendly and attentive staff. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and everything needed is in the room. The service and food in the restaurant is superb. We can’t wait for the next visit. Thank you once again for a perfect stay. You are all amazing.

The rooms are very comfortable and clean

This is our third visit to the Lion. The accommodation remains very good, but the food in the restaurant is nowhere near its previous quality. Small menu and badly cooked food.

Nice old pub.

Very comfortable bed and good safe parking.

Very tired , small bathroom .

The breakfasts were excellent, very nicely cooked and tasty.

The mattress on one side of the bed was very uncomfortable and you were lying in a dip in the bed.

The staff were so welcoming and we really felt at home at The Lion. The location was perfect for us as we were attending a wedding close by. Huge comfortable bed in our room, some nice extras like fresh milk for the room. The food was of high quality served at breakfast.

The rooms were a little dated in places, our bathroom was was in need of an update. We found the room very dark, which made it difficult to get ready for a wedding in. Although breakfast was lovely when it arrived, both mornings the food service was slow (our server did mention they only had 1 chef on).
