Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort

The photos shown on advertisements are ‘when new’. Not ‘as is’. Hotel is very tired, certain areas, taped off (dangerous), over painting, chairs and pool side flooring, peeling. Broken sun-beds. Would’ve been stunning in its day. That said you get what you pay for. Rooms are rustic, but clean. Food is cooled well and nicely presented, however choice is limited and usually a few items, ‘not available’ from the menu. Many of the staff are amazing, the waiters (Nigel and Daniel)), waitresses (Donna, Victoria, Diamond), others I don’t know or can’t remember, cook (Rachel), painter (Anthony). All are courteous and friendly. Golf was a treat, course is in lovely condition. Clubs available to hire are in poor condition, dated for £27 a set. Beach is swept by tractor, but not for bathing and smelling seaweed is present. We made the most of our stay, fortunately the weather was kind to us, during our two weeks stay. I think otherwise, the holiday would’ve been bleak, there are no activities provided, of note. Entertainment, a singer on Friday nights in restaurant, same one. Karaoke on Saturdays.

I stayed in this hotel for a week to celebrate a friend's 70th birthday. I would say a big thank you to the following staff. Mr Moore the manager, he help us out above and over. Anything you asked was never a bother. Diamond & Daniel in restaurant was excellent. Diamond always was ready to help in anyway she could. Always made my hot chocolate in the morning. When she was away for 2 days no staff wanted to make my hot chocolate. Then Daniel said I'll make it, he was a pleasant Young man, always giving us joke. He's a real people person, Thank you all. The hotel could do with renovating in the rooms, but no matter what I was comfortable in my room. I was all inclusive, the food in the evening was so nice when it was available. We always eat at 8pm, sometimes what was on the menu wasn't available. We went to Pigeon point via the free transport, that was excellent for the group. When it came to check out Mr Moore assigned a room for us to have a shower before leaving. Mr Moore, Diamond & Daniel, keep up the good work, till I see you next. Karen & Neville room 251

We stayed in this hotel for two weeks and Mr Moore looked after us there was 40 of us. And big up all the staff in the restaurant and breakfast and the bar. They was a bit slow with taking your order. Thank you.

Very relaxing stay but property can do with an upgrade, elevators on the North Wing not operational, damage to ceiling, no one came to assist with bags for check out after three calls to front desk requesting same. Due to no elevators working on the said Wing, and ceiling damage that caused the normal path to be interrupted ( lots of up and down stairs to reach back Front Desk carrying your own luggage). Main pool was also closed majority of the day on the 21st Sep ( a sunday) which would normally be a busy pool day. I enjoyed the room, the beautiful and peaceful views. I enjoyed the buffet style breakfast. Will stay again but I am hopeful that this Hotel does the necessary upgrades and improves with respect to service.

This hotel looks great from the photos but its a different story at this hotel , large parts of the wings are not being used and then there are areas of the hotel that have been shut off due to large amounts of concrete cancer and these areas are badly fenced off and there are notices up from the government ( prohibition notices ) stopping use of these areas but some areas are by walk ways and you could be hit by falling debris

The environment is very scenic and serene, perfect location for some good rest and recuperation. Housekeeping staff were very friendly and accomodating. Clean rooms, tho the bathroom fittings in particular could do with an upgrade. Special thanks to Lisa and Mikesha at the front desk, who made us feel so welcome.

I had my wedding renewal there. Ria and Wanda was the best hosts . All my wants and needs were met. I would recommend this venue for all your celebrations.

It was a long-awaited getaway weekend with my wife. We stayed at Magdalena and had an amazing experience. The staff were exceptionally warm and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The beautiful beachfront views and well-maintained landscape created a relaxing and picturesque atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. Both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious, with a variety of tasty options that added to the overall experience. This resort offers the ideal combination of great service, stunning scenery, and wonderful dining — I can’t wait to return!

The staff at magdalena grand went over and beyond to ensure my family and I had a great experience. The environment is welcoming just like the ambience, will definitely use their services again because of their impeccable standard.Keep up the great work

I stopped by Magdalena Grand on my recent visit to Tobago to see what the food and ambiance was like. I was greeted warmly by staff members who were friendly and attentive. I was offered a tour of the place by Lisa from Concierge , which I graciously accepted. I viewed the rooms on the ground floor near the elevator, and also took a walk by the pool area. The atmosphere there was peaceful and beautiful. I dined at Robinson Crusoe Pub, where I received wonderful service by Daylene. Not to mention the food was incredible. I highly recommend.
