Eden House Hotel

The hotel was badly in need of refurbishment but she bed was comfy and clean and so was perfect for our needs . We were going to boundary mill shopping and it was 5 minutes away. It could be made into a lovely hotel. The staff were lovely so The only thing that was wrong was the dated state of it. Very good for our needs and. Eery cheap so we didn't have high expectations .

Rooms need updating. Not very clean.

Freezing room with heating not working; moved to another room which appeared unfinished ... paint specks on the curtains, none of the three wall lights working, fire instructions in the draw when they should have been fixed to the wall. The sink was outside the bathroom which is quite old fashioned.

Sadly the room was tired looking, a little dusty and smelly and the bath looked grubby. The TV remote was missing so the staff changed my room(not much better than the first) Unfortunately that was on the ground floor and there were groups of Christmas parties going on with noise till 4am. The good points were friendly staff and well cooked dinner and breakfast.

The Hotel was good for the price, but let down by the appalling service. We had to wait over 20 minutes before any came to our table at breakfast to ask what we wanted. I doubt we will stop again. Totally understaffed.

Came to visit friends, my room was quite nice but my friends room was totally different. I am glad I got the room I did compared to that otherwise I’d not be so happy! However the bathroom looked a little tired, so it all depends which room you get allocated.

What you would expect from a 3star hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly.. The cat roaming around was off putting to friends who had visited us though.
