Eden House Hotel

Nice hotel for a budget hotel and you get what you expect as such, close to the town center about a five minute walk so convenient for somewhere to sleep but wouldn't want to book for a long stay, not much choice to drink in the bar if like us you like real ale or craft beers, but for £60.00 for room only it was OK.

The hotel was ideal for an overnight stay, walking distance into Grantham, breakfast service was very good

I was attending an evening meeting in Grantham and did not wish to drive home later that night. The hotel was very suitable for that purpose, the staff were very helpful and attentive

Great stay, comfortable hotel with great service, right next to the centre of town. Perfect location , ambience and stay.

We were booked into the Eden House and got a phone call as we were travelling to say that they were overbooked and moved us to sister hotel that was supposed to be better. We found cobwebs from the ceiling in the centre of the room, broken coat hook left in the wardrobe and a mattress that had zero support and was like a deflated bouncy castle. Manager fixed it by Goulding a duvet and using as a topper! No heating in the room which felt cold and a plug in air freshener that overpowered the room. Needless to say we walked out got a refund and went to the premier inn around the corner.

The hotel has changed management. We were part of a large party and they had over booked a number of the rooms. Thankfully as we booked through hotels.com our booking was there and we had evidence however DO NOT book through the hotel directly as these were all of the peoples whose bookings were ‘lost’. The hotel itself was ok in terms of communal areas however the rooms are highly outdated and in desperate need of a refurb

Easy check in. Very pleasent and smiling staff. Downside was in the morning the receptionist had a double job as the breakfast waitress so no staff in the breakfast room when she was dealing with checkouts and no staff on reception when she was in the breakfast room. Also no menu as to wether or not there's would be a cooked breakfast. We went and helped ourselves to a pot of tea as we waited forever to be attended. This wasn't self service also I had to ask if they had bread as one was on display.

Clean,tidy with good service, but this is a budget hotel with prices that don't match . £70 for my room was excessive.

Really nice staff, good service, good breakfast, clean. Unfortunately the hotel is very tired, my room faced onto a busy railway line and was very noisy, it was very draughty, and several fittings were broken.

Was very basic, and old fashioned. Room was also quite cold and there was restricted plug sockets, only 1. But, overall did what it needed to do.
