Hotel Ryu Resort and Spa

景色もよく、食事も美味しく、温泉も気持ち良くて非常に快適でした。また来年も使わせてもらいます。

部屋は綺麗でお風呂も広くとても良かった。 朝の食事はバイキング形式で好きなものを食べれてとても良かった。

Upon arrival to the hotel, staff were patiently waiting at the entrance building, greeting guests and go all the way to our car at the car park to help with the bags. The hotel has good English speaking staff. This makes our stay even more pleasant as the staff was able to explain the Japanese meals in details during dinner. The room was comfortable for a night stay. Although the onsen is quite small, it was still comfortable for a good hot bath during a cold winter night.

The hotel is lovely. The staff is nice and friendly! This is an excellent experience!

The resort itself is located a bit remotely but if offers extreme quietness and peace of mind. Adequate onsen facilities - not a huge outdoor one but good enough for relaxation purpose. Every member of staff are very friendly and helpful from front desk, house-keeping to the waiters in the restaurants. Breakfast offers abundant quality choices. Room is spacious and tidy. We get to enjoy the japanese style tatami as a foreigner but it also offers a bit of Western style so we won't feel too hard to adapt. A nice stay overall!

This ryokan was a pleasant surprise. The service, from check-in to check-out, is very good. They even provided us with yukatas (the less formal, cotton kimono-style Japanese clothes) for use during our stay. Most hotel rooms in Japan are small but the room we got was very spacious and the futons were quite comfortable. You also have a choice of indoor and outdoor onsens (tried both and recommend the outdoor one).

We were on a 16 day Wendy Wu tour and this was one of the hotels in the Mountains stayed at. The rooms are Japanese style but with Western additions of TV comfortable futon beds and plenty of space, shoe free. They provide the traditional robes to wear to breakfast and dinner and toe socks and slippers. The food is extraordinary served in Japanese style but with Western Meals if you desired them. Every corridor every window everything was perfect the views and the staff impeccable. But my absolute favourite was the spring water onsen rated in the top 10 of Japan, Id never had one but convinced nearly all of the women on our trip to indulge as we wouldn't have another opportunity. The pre scrubbing to ensure cleanliness was beautiful and sitting in the baths without judgement from others was a liberating experience. The hotel is also close to World Heritage Shirakawa-go .

Very good service from reception to dining restaurant staff, all very helpful and friendly. The room is cozy and very clean. Would come back to stay here again.
