Hideaway Inn Lenox

Great, convenient location. Nice big sitting rooms in reception area with a great outside wraparound porch. Warm atmosphere, friendly staff. Despite the drawbacks noted below, it is a very good value.

This is a very old house. Our room was pretty small. Floors are a bit uneven and doors stick. Bathroom had been updated but was a bit small and our shower dripped. White noise machine helped with occasional ambient noise.

Very quiet and comfortable

Location. Walkable to town. Charming home. Comfortable bed and nice bathrooms.

Not very welcoming. Check-in person not that friendly. The town looked so cute for fall, they could easily enhance their appeal with more fall decor, a friendly welcome and some lively music vs the music they had playing.

The location - being a short walk from a number of restaurants, the staff who were welcoming and friendly, the room and the bathroom were both reasonably speacious, the bed was comfy, the provision of a fridge, the continental breakfast on the second morning (on the first morning we had to walk to The Constance Hotel), free car parking on site

On 9th May, I received an email from Booking.com confirming that my reservation from 2nd to 4th OCT was at The Constance by The Lenox Collection at 11 Old Stockbridge Road, Lenox, MA - a 4 star hotel. When we arrived there on 2nd OCT, we were advised that our booking for a King Room was in fact at The Whitlock Hotel in Church Street, Lenox, MA - a 3 star hotel. We were also told that The Constance was fully booked for our dates. As a result we had no alternative but to stay at The Whitlock - a lesser quality hotel. We were rather disappointed with our room - it was on the ground floor overlooking the car park but to maintain any privacy, we had to keep the blinds closed which made the room/bathroom very dark during the day; additionally, the bar for hanging clothes was so small that you could only hang 3 or 4 things on it and, on our last night, it actually sheared/fell off the wall; plus the only chair in the room was pretty uncomfortable.

The tv only offered Rocu which was terrible Had to watch old tv series instead of regular channels every night

Very old , too rustic for our taste. Bed was comfy , en-suite tiny , toilet not fixed to floor very rocky and room smelt musty . Breakfast was just OK

Very dirty everywhere, really needs a good clean. Staff not really bothered, disengaged. Bathrooms faulty

Location was good, easy access to restaurants and shopping. Certain amount of charm

A little gloomy. Needs fresh paint to lighten things up. Staff were mediocre. Flat demeanor, not overly pleasant or solicitous. I asked ahead if there would be gf options for gf foods for continental breakfast and they said yes, gf bagels would be there. There were no gf bagels available but there were gf cereals, fruit and yogurt options. Maid service was just ok.
