St Marys Gate Inn

Het oude pand is mooi en locatie is super. De kamers zijn niet heel groot maar voldoen en de badkamer is goed.

Het ontbreekt aan bergruimte, zoals een kast, voor de kleding en de spullen die je op reis meeneemt. Het personeel wisselt per dag. Je krijgt er in vier dagen geen enkele band mee zoals sommige andere BenB ‘s wel.

Great spot out of the main town but close enough to walk to main points. Walked to the train station and lido which was 20 mins. The room and pub are close enough to walk from room to meal and drinks within the buildings perimeter. Great room and facilities, TV, and bathroom with soaps. I would recommend this to everyone

Very nice pub in the heart of Arundel good food and freindly staff, we enjoyed our stay.

Great location and superb room

There was no cooked breakfast during the working week.

Our room was very convenient for the car park, and not too far from the pub.

The WiFi was not strong enough to reach the room. Our shower was stuck on hot which should probably have been sorted before our stay. There was no toilet roll holder or shower shelf. We were given the next room’s shower to use. The bathroom in that room was properly fitted although the tiles could do with re grouting. We were not aware that The towel rail was on a timer and it was very hot when it came on. There should be a warning sign as I burnt my hand. Fire alarm sounded at 1.45 am which was quickly sorted out but no one came to tell us that there was no cause for concern.

Excellent place to stay

Lovely historic pub and inn against the backdrop of Arundel Cathedral, 1/3 of a mile from the entrance to Arundel Castle. Great choice for a classic B&B experience in the English countryside. We stayed in the spacious Tulip room with king bed and single bed, beautiful green-tiled bathroom with a modern shower and deep tub, and a view to the castle gardens across the street. Guest parking is available onsite. Guests should note that while breakfast is included with your stay, made-to-order hot breakfast is only available on the weekend. We enjoyed a delicious full English and thought the continental breakfast was quite good as well. They also offer a Sunday roast, but we missed that during our stay.

It's an old historic inn so there's no AC, and we were there at the start of a heat wave. Fortunately we were able to open the windows at night to cool down the room. At one point a faulty fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, but the manager called me right away with instructions to turn it off, and they allowed us extra time for check-out in the morning for the disturbance.
