Buena Vista Chic Hotel

It was only for one night but it was great. Beds are very comfortable, place is very nice and chic. Gardens are gorgeous and the views! The restaurant has excellent food and service as well. I would only improve their old fashions! Everyone was very very nice.

The manager was going to upgrade us to another room, but it was too far for me to walk with my sciatica. The hotel property was beautiful with a lovely view overlooking San Jose. Nice pool and landscaping! Delicious food for dinner and breakfast and reasonably priced.

Wonderful stay at the Buena Vista Chic Hotel. The reception manager was going to upgrade our room, but with my painful sciatica I couldn't walk up to the second floor room. So he assigned us the first room off the dining room. Perhaps not as luxurious, but certainly more convenient for me! Thank you! We had a delicious dinner (reasonably priced) and breakfast. Enjoyed drinks out on the lawn watching the sun set and city lights of San Jose light up the sky. Comfy beds. Ceiling fan in our room. Lovely property!

Beds and pillows ultra comfy. The hotel itself is beautiful, quiet, small, and perfectly decorated. The amenities were superb and rooms very clean. The staff was the best. I plan on staying here next time I come back. Free shuttle to and from airport can’t be beat. Vamos rental car will pick up and drop off car there if needed.

This hotel was so nice for a couple of days prior to leaving to come back home in Canada. People were so friendly and the Place was very clean with nice property.

Given the proximity to the airport, it strikes me that this place is used as a first night / first couple of nights stay on arrival into CR. For that reason it is very efficient and offers all the usual amenities one would expect. Rooms are ample with comfortable beds, showers etc all good. Grounds are nice albeit somewhat hilly so may not be suitable for all. Spectacular views over the basin and a smallish pool which I think works well for kids. Staff vey friendly and helpful, breakfast was very good also. The cons are that it is a bit out of the way and there is a lot, and I mean a lot, of traffic noise all day and night. Which is unfortunate as this takes away from the restful feeling. All said, for one night post arrival in the country no massive deal.

Beautiful property . Very well maintained . Staff is amazing . The view is fantastic yet only 20 minutes to the airport . It was so convenient that the shuttle was available for pick up and drop off to the airport and car rental . Breakfast included was great . They even packed up breakfast to go for us as we had to leave for the airport 5am . Jorge our server / bartender was fantastic . Great conversations and great food and drinks . This is a great location to start your adventure of Beautiful Costa Rica.

We stayed in one of the villas and it was FABULOUS! The town that the hotel is in is adorable and friendly! I would recommend renting a car to get around, especially if wanting to visit the waterfalls , travel to the beach, etc. The plants, views, and food were fantastic and the staff was so helpful. I would highly recommended a stay here.
