The location was incredible, remote and beautiful. The food was divine, with exceptional service. The staff knew us by name, knew our plans and excursions that we had booked, so special.

Absolutely incredible place right on the waterfalls. The tram is nice if you don’t feel like making the climb down or up, and they provide full bar and food service there as well. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. It got cool at night so not having AC wasn’t a problem, plus they provide you with a big fan. Staff was incredibly friendly and service was great. The entire grounds were well kept and beautiful.

The dirt road to get there is long and bumpy, but doable. Just take it slow.

I Loved my experience at Gaia it was wonderful amazing, 10/10 would recommend but maybe 9 because the bugs are crazy, but if they could figure out how to make the bugs stay away, that’d be grand and nice but maybe a 10 cause the staff and food were really nice and seasoned the waterfall is as beautiful in the picture look at pics for sho But bugs suck that’s my review of Gaia and it was a 9.9 out of ten marbles

Our honeymoon experience at Gaia was amazing! Starting off on the first day was great. Instead of rushing us to check in and giving us a bunch of information and rules after a long travel day, they let us have a leisurely lunch, then check in later. The room was huge and beautiful. The waterfall view was stunning and we could hear the waterfall all night, which was SO relaxing. We had fun at the ATM cave tour with Rudi, as well as a night nature walk. We enjoyed swimming in the waterfall and had great spa treatments there too. We had one misunderstanding with scheduling, which staff promptly resolved. Selvi, Javier, and Rahul were rockstars at the restaurant and bar. We had breakfast everyday, lunch most days, and dinner one day...every meal was great! The food was on the pricey end, but there really were no other options given how remote the lodge is. The resident dog, Coco, is the sweetest! But do not follow her unless you're ready for a hike :-) The only downfall was the mosquitoes, which were worse than we expected. Despite using up more than one full can of bug spray between my husband and I in 3 days, we were constantly being bitten by bugs, especially at night. We realized flying ants/gnats/bugs were crawling in our bed and we needed to have housecleaning change the sheets. Not sure if there's anything to do about it, but if not for the bugs, we definitely could have stayed for a week or more and enjoyed every second!

Beautiful location on the river, relaxing and serene. Staff was very accommodating and made a point to know your name. Unique cocktail ingredients but did not seem worth the price in alcohol content.

Not a property issue but just something we were not aware. Any tours booked from the city or getting anywhere from the property required an expensive shuttle ride. Good location for relaxing if you plan to stay at the resort only but not ideal for getting anywhere other than the resort unless you want to pay a lot or unless you have your own car.

The cabana over the river allowed us morning views of birds and continuous view of the waterfall. The restaurant and as terrific and we spoilt ourselves with lunch brought to us at the river patio.

There is no food allowed in the cabanas and no fridges. Be prepared to eat all meals and snacks at the property unless you have a car - next town 20-30 minutes away. The prices were not unreasonable but they did add up.

Food at the restaurant was very good. We tried many things. The drinks were fabulous. The location was BEAUTIFUL and the rooms were stunning. We had an incredible view. The view from the main building also beautiful. The water area with the waterfalls was gorgeous and comfortable. Staff were so responsive and kind. Felt like a very luxurious experience. Additionally, they were super accommodating for dietary restrictions. I have celiac disease and they managed gluten free very well. They seemed very on top of it and I did not get sick one time. Turn down service was also so nice and luxe!!

Would have liked a bit more transparency on the price of some things - for example we were informed breakfast was included but it wasn't necessarily made clear that we had to specifically order the "continental breakfast" for it to be included - otherwise it was just normal menu from the restaurant.

The location of this place is unbelievable! The views - the waterfall and sunsets over the forested mountains - are absolutely stunning. A refreshing swim under the waterfall is just what you need on a hot day, and ending the day with a delicious cocktail while watching the sunset is perfect. Every single staff member was super friendly and attentive. We loved every minute of our stay, and I can’t wait to come back!
