Baiyun City Hotel

Service was bad. Breakfast was bad. No fridge in room. Front desk service officer was rude.

Yes the hotel is good for its close proximity to MTR, and in the good department, that's just about it. The journey from hotel to/from MTR is an experience. Street touting offering you accommodation and the smell of urine on the street was horrible. I arrived to hotel pass-midnight. When arrived, i thought the hotel went out of business! The lights outside were switched off (unlike the bright photo in the advertisement) and the check in counter has only dim light. Facility-wise, the air condition gave intermittent cranking sound and needed to flip the fan speed switch several times to make it go away. The bed was hard and gave squeaky noise. Lastly the service level of transportation is very poor. Bus ticket sales lady answered inquiry as if i owe her money. Taxi driver from airport to hotel were very poor and rude. Poor because instead of stopping at hotel lobby, he stopped 100 meters away and asked me to walk in myself. Rude for directly insulting the hotel i chose. "Guangzhou is full of hotels and you chose this?! Of all places, you want to sleep near this train station?!" Unfortunately as rude as he was, there was some truth.

Hard beds but that is because our soft western frames. Fantastic location for rail and taxi and clothing/fashion markets. We would highly recommended baiyun hotel as the staff were friendly and we had our room refreshed everyday with new water and can't beat the free breakfast.

Is very near to guangzhou railway metro station and also the bus station to baiyun airport, there are few restaurant besides the hotel as well, security is good and reception is fine, bed is hard..But acceptable. Just that, cleanliness need to improve, there is stain on my bed and pillow. Besides, i can smell cigarette smoke in the room..When I sleep or after coming back which I believe may come from room beside..I was sleeping in a midst of smoke which is my nightmare...Will prefer if they could have separate smoke and non smoker room by floor..

Located beside the High speed rail station, and a metro station, it is a very convenient hotel to stay in. But please understand that the area around the hotel is a very busy area, so do tolerate the many sounds of traffic policemen and travellers.

Service was gd and hotel staff offered to call cab for me thr didi(uber in china). Room service gd too. Area ard was convenient just beside the guangzhou metro station and quite a few eatery ard like kfc, chinese cruine
