"Value for money with great breakfast"

Great value overnight stay with amazing breakfast. Staff very friendly. Rooms good size, clean and comfortable. Location a little out of the way, but lots of lovely villages a very short drive away. Would definitely stay again.

"Im Sorry Overrated!!"

The food (breakfast) was exceptional it has to be said and location is great.

Value for money was poor, and I feel the star rating on booking dot com was very misleading. This place needs some money spending on it....Ow and beware stepping out of front door straight onto a main road!! ....That's if you can get out of the silly front door as it opens in the opposite direction to the vestibule door.....nightmare with suitcases.!! The first impression I got on entering property was the smell of dirty carpet / mustiness

"Another great stay at the Chequers- very well managed propert"

The food was excellent as were the staff at check in and meal times. Very friendly. Good selection of real ale - three very well chosen beers. Room was cleaned well. A super pub.

Room 1 was a little cold- the heating was on.

"Not really a bright location"

The room was good and got plenty of space a d very clean.

The staff not very friendly and seemed less than hospitable, the meals very expensive.
