Sakura Edinburgh Guest House

Booking made for twin/double room with private bathroom and with garden views. However, I was given a room with a bathroom shared with 5 others rooms. Also, there was no garden view at all. Rather, the room was in the basement, with hardly any daylight. There was a tiny window that opened in a dark space. The shared bathroom was not clean. The shower room and the showerhead had mold. The corridor to the bathroom had water leaking from the ceiling (they kept towels on the floor to soak the water). The only good part was that they allowed me to check-in very late at night.

This place is a disgrace. It's a disgusting dump charging £70 a night. Yet it would not be fit to house rough sleepers. It's also a disgrace that they are listed on your website. Clearly no one has bothered to check out this dump.

Quiet

This is not a Guest House, this is a Hostel. Welcoming hosts. However, it is not enough to stay next time - 1. Worst of all, cleaning is very selective - shiny inside toilet or sink, horrible crusty stuff outside, shower walls had thick black mould on them; was afraid to have shower as not to enhale all that... 2. the room was so cold when I checked in in afternoon, it was warmer outside - apparently heating is on from 18:00-06:00, which is an issue during cold spring days. 3. broken toilet, had to use public one (paid for private bathroom! )

I think the only thing that should be improved is the heating, rooms can go really cold sometimes and very hot sometimes.

Location to city centre was excellent. Room was spacious and had everything you needed for a pleasant stay

It was a great stay, the room was comfortable and the host very nice and attentive. The place was very close, at a walking distance from the train station and the tourist sites.

Cheap, clean, great location. Check-in warm and friendly.

Just to stayed for a week. Spacious room included all amenities served.
