The Exeter Inn

We have returned here several times over the past few years.. As always a friendly warm welcome from the hosts. Coupled with a character Inn with lots of olde world charm. Excellent breakfast and good pub fayre makes for a perfect short break, Thank you

The Exeter inn is really one of the best I’ve stayed in this part of England..3 very enjoyable relaxing days..Very friendly landlady..Top notch full english breakfast...the scrambled eggs on toast was my favourite..I had to stay 2 more days but unfortunately they were booked out.. So I booked into another inn a few miles up the road...it was more expensive than the Exeter inn but no where near as good..Go ahead book your stay you won’t be disappointed.

It was an interesting property, very old. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room, the bathroom and bedding all clean although the beds were on a bit of a slope, but only to be expected with such an old property. My friend had a terrible shower experience with the electric shower going hot and cold all the time. I had showered earlier and it was fine. The stairs would be quite challenging if you have mobility issues; the stairwell needed a good clean, dusty and lots of cobwebs. Breakfast was good. Due to being in town it was very noisy with people shouting outside, even after closing time.

A very welcoming place to stay. Lovely staff and the food was excellent. Room was huge with comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay again.
