Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge

This lodge is a gem, conveniently located near the entrance of the crater. The villas are very luxurious and the views from the terrasse are amazing! Food is delicious and service is impeccable. It won't disappoint.

After 18 days of safari we arrived for a couple days of relaxation. From the moment we checked in, Norbert looked after us with excellent attention every single day. Devotha also served us and her expression ’anything is possible’ was very awesome.

I was in this hotel at the end of September 2025. What a superbe experience !!! The hotel is magnificent, the rooms are a dream, the staff is incredibly professional and available. The location is right outside the entrance of the Ngorongoro reservation. We could see elephants right outside our window! This is so far the best hotel I have been in Tanzania. Great food too! AND we had the best waitress at the table , fantastic Devotha, a real sweetheart. I have only one remorse… not to have been there longer !!!

Staying here felt like staying in a mansion in the jungle. We for visited by baboons in the morning as well. All of the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. I was traveling with family, one of which uses a wheelchair and needs a lot of help. They made sure he had everything he needed and was taken care of properly.

We had the most wonderful experience in the lodge . The staff were truly wonderful and went out of their way to accommodate our every need! We went on safari into the Ngorongoro Crater which was fantastic to start our trip! But right outside our room the elephants and water buffalo and bushbuck baboons were so entertaining! Thank you for a wonderful time!

Neptune is a hidden luxury gem. Everything from the hospitality, staff, service, food, accommodations — it is above and beyond. Everyone was so attentive and welcoming and you are truly enjoying luxury lodging in the middle of Ngorongoro. The location is so close to Ngorongoro as well - so easy game drive in the crated. They even have their own organic farm and herb garden! We were so thrilled to stay here - just wish we could have stayed longer! Don’t think twice - book this place immediately.

This place is lovely and super luxurious. We stayed here while on Safari, in between staying at 2 national Park camps. Therefore it was a nice break to have all the luxury, but in fact, we preferred the camps.

Outstanding location and landscape , manicured gardens with an organic farm for their kitchen . Staff were very attentive and prompt with the service . They made us feel very welcome and were happy to indulge in some friendly chat. Made us all feel at home . The lodges were outstanding , great decor which included some fine local artist paintings , spacious with a separate lounge with all the amenities and a balcony with a view to die for . They provided some exquisite touches like hot water bottle in the bed , offer to light the log fire on request and a coffee pouch ( grown in their grounds ) , the staff left some sweet treats at turn down . The food variety was good and the flavours were excellent we had some good vegetarian choices on the menu . It’s a great shame we were only there for 1 night , we would love to visit this lodge again for longer .

What an absolutely incredible stay. We spent 3 nights at Neptune Lodge in July with our teenage daughters. Everything about this lodge is incredible. The location, the staff, the food, the comfortable beds. It felt so incredibly luxurious to come back to each night after safari. The. Lodges were out of this world, with stunning, peaceful views over the valley. On our last morning we actually woke up to elephants in the valley below us which was so special. We cannot fault Neptune Lodge at all. Especially loved the extra little touches like the hot water bottles put into our beds while we were busy having dinner, and the offer to light the fire in our lodge each night. And the staff were so helpful, even organising breakfast earlier than the usually schedule so we could have a good breakfast before heading off early for the day. None us wanted to leave. Our only regret was not staying longer. Thank you to all the staff for making it such a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Neptune and truly enjoyed every moment. The infrastructure of the hotel is excellent — everything is very well maintained, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. Our room was outstanding: spacious, clean, and very comfortable. You can tell great care is taken to ensure guests feel at home. But what really stood out to us was the food. We had dinner at the hotel and were so impressed that we made sure to have lunch there the next day as well. The dishes were simply spectacular — full of flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with attention to detail and care. The chef is truly talented and thoughtful, and it shows in every bite. The staff was also fantastic — well-trained, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our experience as enjoyable as possible. We would absolutely come back and recommend Neptune with our eyes closed. It was an excellent stay, and the food alone is worth a visit! Cheers to the chef!!!!
