Loved the layout of this hotel with the private patio areas in front of each room. Our only regret was not spending more time enjoying this part of the hotel. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and Enrico and his wife were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was great every morning, with coffee drinks made to order. A bit of a walk uphill to get to the hotel from the station, but this is not a big deal if you are going to do any walking at all in Cinque Terre.
Enrico and his wife are outstanding hosts! His hiking suggestions were perfect for our short stay. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast is good. The property is located up the hill. Strongly recommend having a porter deliver your luggage if arriving by train.
What was there not to enjoy! The location was amazing! Literally 200 meters from the center. The staff amazing! Enrico was awesome, friendly and multilingual! With his Spanish I felt like I was checking in at a hotel in Spain. The room was perfect and the view from the room, amazing! The hotel size is a perfect “getaway hotel” that won’t break the bank. Oh, and the breakfast, included, yummy with a mox of cereals, fruit and breads and lunch meat. Thanks for a great stay Enrico!

This was a perfect hotel for us in Riomaggiore while visiting Cinque Terre. Enrico was an excellent host, helping us with travel tips, a nice breakfast to start the day, and setting the tone for a great time in Cinque Terre! Thanks Enrico!
The check in was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We met some very friendly guests at the hotel and overall the experience was excellent.
The owners were very nice and helpful.. access is exhausting. The road up is super steep and at the very top
We loved Hotel del Sole and Enrico and his wife. The room was kept very clean and Enrico was always there to answer questions, etc. The breakfast was fairly extensive and we truly appreciated that little something to get us through the morning. When we arrived at Riomaggiore after 12 hours of travel and just couldn't manage the short trek to the hotel, Enrico sent a taxi which delivered us to the hotel door! Considering it was quite late, we REALLY appreciated this! If we were ever to head back to Cinque Terre, we most definitely would stay here again. Enrico and his wife are wonderful!
Enrico was a superb host! He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and enjoy our visit to the Cinque Terre. He provided useful advice, previous help and always with a smile in his face. The accommodation has all the needed basics, is comfortable enough and was spotless clean! If we ever return to visit Cinque Terre again, we will definitely stay here again! Enrico and his wife were amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and the perfect hosts. They gave us great suggestions about where to go. The room was simple and comfortable. The hotel is high up the hill, but so worth the long walk. That's what the Cinque Terre is all about. Highly recommended.
