"Great location and comfortable rooms, but internet reliability and some maintenance need improvement"

The location is excellent, very close to everything in Dickinson, which makes moving around easy and convenient. The hotel is quiet and provides good comfort for a short stay.

The internet service is very intermittent, especially in room 426, and the staff responses to improving the service were poor or unhelpful. Reliable internet is essential for guests who need to work many hours on a computer, so this should be addressed. In addition, the cleanliness of the hallways, front desk area, and parking lot could be improved, and guests should be encouraged to use only one parking space.

"No more LaQuinta or Hotels.Com. YOU STINK!"

After 2nd day of no room cleaning, I was told by front desk clerk that I hadn't requested room cleaning when I checked in. I have never heard of having to request room cleaning service. As we attempted to leave our room on day 2, the hydraulic door closing devise broke and jammed the door half open and half closed. I managed to get through the opening and requested help from a maid in the hall.......she replied "no englise, no englise". I then called the front desk and was told that no maintenance person was on duty and would be available sometime later in the day. We were assured that even though our door would not close; our belongings would be safe while we were visiting the national park during the rest of the day. We attempted to get ice for our ice chest, but found the ice machine on the 4th floor was broken. I again asked a maid standing nearby about the machine and was told..."no work". Attempting to go to the 3rd floor ice machine, I found that only one elevator could be used to reach the 3rd floor as the other elevator would not stop on the 3rd floor. I eventually found an ice machine on the 2nd floor that would work. Our original reservation was for 4 nights, but found that we needed reduce to 3 nights. I related our change of plan to the desk clerk on the second morning during coffee and was told that we would be charged for the full 4 nights because we had booked through an independent booking service rather than directly through LaQuinta. No more !!

"Roaches"

The lady at the front desk was nice

I chose to stay at this hotel based on reviews, I looked at recent reviews before my stay and they were so good, I was very excited for my stay. Mind you, I have never left a hotel review in my life, unfortunately there was roaches in my room, the curtains, mirror, and fridge were all broken, the sink was leaking, and the room smelled, the towels were unwashed and had dirt on them, the bathroom door had black stuff splattered on it, I had to wipe that off and the bathroom counter, it was filthy. There was visible dirt and just overall nastiness all built up in the corners and edges of the bathroom, under the bed was left over food/candy and rocks, the same under the bathroom counter. I will not be staying at this hotel again, I have never stayed in such a nasty hotel, I refused to walk around the room without socks or shoes on. There was also dog food all over the floors in the hallways. Even the motels I've stayed in were cleaner and never in my life have I seen roaches till I stayed here. I am very disappointed especially since this hotel cost a pretty penny and I only stayed for two nights. I was willing to pay the price to stay in a nice hotel but next time I'll just stay in the $65 - $95 a night hotel. Never again.
