Smartr Madrid Atocha

The place is not bad overall; I rate it 3.5 stars max. Here are the good and bad: Good: 1. Location is great; very central and close to everything 2. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We got in early and they took care of our luggage until check in time, while we were touring the city 3. Apartment is big enough to accommodate 5 people Bad: 1. Not enough hot water. If you want to take a shower the hot water tank is enough for 3 people only. Plan to take showers in separate times 2. Internet is bad and very flaky 3. It could be cleaner a bit

We got the three bedroom apartment. It had limited air-conditioning that was challenging in the summer heat. They tried to assist with extra fan and covering windows which made it a bit dark and gloomy. Other guests with smaller apartments were fine. Staff was helpful and location was close to attractions.

Walking distance to all the sites. Apartment was clean and spacious.

Nice large duplex apartment for family of 5. Clean. Great service from staff but definitely feels like you are immersed into Madrid neighborhood living. Very happy to have chosen this spot. Great local bars and markets. Not far of a walk to puerto del sol. Lovely.

Perfect location in the most beautiful apartment with two bathrooms, two bedrooms, duplex, modern, stylish we all love it.

I was traveling with my family and needed a space to house 5 of us. This seemed like a good location in Madrid, but upon arriving, it was less than spectacular. The air conditioning was barely working in the room. It was about 100 degrees in Madrid. The "sleeper sofa" was so weak and flimsy, the end had to be held up with 2 stools or no one could sleep on it. It was not made for 2 people to sleep on either, as the website suggests. The 2nd bedroom had a single bed, but the room was extremely hot. I am usually happy with most hotels from Expedia, but this place was a let down.

Location was ideal. Near the Atocha train station and walkable to all great landmarks.

We are a family of 5 and stayed here for 4 nights. The apartment is comfortable and spacious. Beds and bedding are very comfortable. FYI - There is no daily housekeeping. This was not an issue for us except we would have liked an option for fresh towels. The location is great - within walking distance to all the major sights including a short walk to the Atocha train station. Great restaurants close by.

Stayed here w family of 5 the night before our flight home. Very clean, full well stocked kitchen and baths good window access to let in breeze loved the neighborhood restaurants on calle huertas especially arcos. Very responsive to our late after hours arrival. Wished we could have stayed longer

Well priced, Nicholas a great help - was able to direct us to various places. Terrific city, easy to find things. PS post office in Ceribles Plaza! Would go back to Madrid, smart rentals and atocha in a minute!
