Marriott's Kauai Lagoons

The property was beautiful and well maintained.

The next day after our arrival, my family and I wanted to talk to the concierge to figure out dinner spots & some excursions for the week. When I tell you our mood went from 0-100 real quick! We were extremely unsatisfied with the concierge Elsa. She was a complete disgrace & should not be associated with Marriott. Only to mention a few we asked her to write down any suggestions and she completely ignored us. We tried making small talk with her and she couldn’t even look at us in the face. I told her I was doing a photoshoot at tunnels beach that I was SO excited for. Her exact words were “if you go there you’ll die.” Thank god I went with my instinct…we went and couldn’t have had a better time. It was PERFECT! She was very dismissive and she couldn’t be bothered with us. There was much more she did to us but those are to name a few. Honestly when we left we were extremely saddened and disappointed. If I were her manager she shouldn’t be concierge and should be fired from Marriott. She was a complete disgrace to your resort! We deserved better than how she treated us! We’re Marriott owners for probably longer than she’s been alive. She needs to take accountability for treating owners this way.

Beautiful views. No restaurant. We didn't receive a cleaning service after paying over $1k per night.

We stayed in this Hotel Block A , 3rd Floor room with 2 bed & 2 bath with Kitchen full furnished with Oven , Dishwasher, Induction stove & microwave & all utensils . Also a Washer Dryer is provided with washing materials.. we stayed here for 8 days . The lady at the front desk of Concierge was very much helpful and guided us for unloading our luggages through a Bigger Trolley kept at the entrance of each block & lifting through an Elevator to our room at 3rd floor. The room allotted to us is with excellent view of Ocean & Greenish Golf ground from our balcony, which is provided with dining table & chairs & beach sunbath chairs to enjoy the nature . One master bed is also provided with Ocean view window & patio . We requested a Crib for our child & provided in the Master with a King bed & attached bath . The Guest bed room also provided with a King bed & side tables with lamps , alarm clock & AC . The bath attached to Guest room is approachable from 2 ways , from family room & Bedroom. Both the bathrooms are provided with Towels & Toiletries, but only sufficient for 3 days. No paste & brush is provided . You have to bring your own arrangements for brushing & shaving kits. On request they arranged cleaning schedule after 4 days of our stay. No active camping was seen inside the Hotel during our stay. No restaurant is available inside the Hotel campus. The Kalanikki bear is behind this Hotel & approachable through vehicle in 5 minutes and parking near another Hotel. Beach towels are provided in the room. This Hotel is very nearer to Kauai Airport & Helicopters trip station.( just 10 minutes from Hotel.) Two Farmer’s markets are very nearby & you can get fruits and vegetables. One Farmers Market is open on Tuesdays & Thursdays only. The amenities provided by this Hotel is much less & we can offer only 4 star ratings.

I read some of the reviews before we left and was very nervous about our stay. It was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The door onto the balcony got stuck when we first opened it so we called the front desk and in less than 5 minutes someone was there to help us. The view from the balcony was incredible. We loved sitting out there with a cup of coffee in the morning or just relaxing when we got back in the afternoon. We thought our rooms were beautiful. Some people commented that the furnishings looked worn. I thought everything looked great. Yes, we could see onto other guests balconies and we could sometimes hear others on their balconies when we were outside. I think that is to be expected. It was not noisy or distracting. The pool was nice, not as grand as some resorts but it was attractive and big enough for us to relax while other kids/families played in other areas. It was crowded with kids just once but all other trips to the pool were relaxing. There were not a lot of activities on site, but we did not travel across the country to do activities at our hotel. Overall, we were very pleased with out stay and would recommend Kauai Lagoons.

They have the worst hospitality service ever! The hotel is no where near calling itself a resort, theres no beach acess, theres no restaurant, the rooms are dingy and outdated, their customer service is horrible. The construction sucks other than that kauai is great.

The absolute worst customer service, from Makana at the front desk. Condescending, Insulting and just rude. I will never stay at this resort EVER !! I have stayed at resorts all over this world and this is by far the worst experience we have ever had.

Clean and beautiful landscape

Breathtaking ocean view. Check in: Bryon gave us directions when we called from the wrong hotel. He seamlessly checked us in and, on his own, understood that we were tired based on our later than expected arrival. He was patient, warm and welcoming despite it being late. AND he made a point not to say the room number out loud for privacy purposes. It’s awesome that Privacy and professionalism are still of value! Room: Pleasantly Clean, Spacious and the layout provides everyone their own privacy to enjoy.
