Marina Elite

Myself and family (2 Adult and 1 Child) - arrived on a Friday afternoon to a well organized reception team ready to welcome us to the Hotel. Check in was no more than 15 minutes as their was a few of us on the same coach so full marks here. We were allocated a pool view room with an extended ocean and village outlook. Room was SPOTLESS and had been lightly decorated for our sons soon to be birthday. We stopped at Delfin Bar on route as we got our bearings and worked out what lift went where. Couple of beers and a super speedy unpack we went exploring. Views from this Hotel are amazing and have endless sea views. Grounds are landscaped and kept well, communal areas are clean, tidy and welcoming. We went with the knowing we had booked a 3 Star Hotel and this is what we expected and to be fair, some aspects hit higher. Pools were warm as heated which was great for February, top pool busy and lower pool was more chilled and laid back. Both had nice bars with friendly staff. Im sure people have pointed out the restaurant and the occasional queues to get seated, but we always got seated no issues. We travelled half term so Hotel was indeed at capacity and full. Food was fine, no issues and certainly plentiful for kids and indeed vegetarians. Breakfast offered a typical English option with British sausages or the standard European choice with plenty of fruit (with some fizz) - People seen to moan about the land between the hotel and the walk to Anfi Beach, this isn't waste land, its an area that allows access to walk to the beach. Its not the most pleasant as its so open, and prone to attract a little litter and the occasional washed up pallet or bucket. Its very safe and well walked by many but a torch is needed after dark. Bus out the front and taxis no issues. All round, perfect location, friendly welcoming staff and always a smile. If you cant be nice and make an effort with people that work 16 + hours a day then maybe re-consider your choice of Hotel. We had a great time and that's what we went for. Learn a little Spanish and be polite we did and it went along way. Full marks to Marina Elite :)

TLDR - Excellent Budget option for families. Just returned from a 5 night stay at Marina Elite, would happily have stayed for a week, but not sure there is enough atmosphere for a longer stay. The hotel itself is situated between Puerto Rico and Anfi Del Mar, with regular local buses stopping right outside, and the latter easily accessible by foot from the lower levels of the hotel - it is quite a 'secluded' spot, with no external facilities, but this did mean that it was quiet with very little noise at night save for the waves on the rocks outside (Balito beach can't really be described as a beach itself). The hotel is best described as split into two parts, the lower and upper hotel that are divided by an access road, which is only used for guest parking and deliveries (controlled by a barrier). The lower hotel consists of two con-joined blocks of 10 floors, and houses reception, the main restaurant, a small mini-market, laundry facilities, gym and has a 25m swimming pool on the 10th floor - our room was also on the 10th floor and offered stunning uninterrupted sea views including sunsets. In the upper hotel, there are about 100 rooms set across smaller blocks of 2-3 floors, with another pool, a smaller restaurant, kids play area and a multi sports court. Both pools benefit from a pool bar and there is also a 'beach bar' on the ground floor (i.e. at beach level) but this was only open in the evenings and we did not get a chance to visit. Considering it was half term I expected the hotel to be very busy, but it was only meal times in the main restaurant where this felt like the case - the restaurant is too small in my opinion to cater for the regular influx of guests, but the staff were very friendly and turned tables as quickly as they could, we only had to wait once for about 5-10 minutes on our first morning. The food itself was decent for an All-Inclusive and our three children were always able to find something to eat - the options were consistent, with variations day to day. The top restaurant however was a much more relaxed affair with plenty of space and a much more chilled vibe despite being smaller - the trade off here was that there were generally less food options available, but the staples were there. In the evening the top restaurant has 'themed' nights which you can book via reception, we enjoyed the Mexican night, but the BBQ night was found lacking. As mentioned our room was on the 10th floor, and was booked as a two bed apartment, it was spacious, comfortable and very clean - housekeeping was done daily (except Sunday and Monday) with fresh towels pretty much every other day. Bed linen was scheduled to be changed every 4 days, but not sure if (or when) this happened as we only stayed for 5 days. In general terms the hotel was more than satisfactory, and at the price point it was much better than I expected - if you are expecting 5 star luxury, you will not find it here and while the public areas could do with some refreshing, I would happily come back and met several travellers who are regulars here.

Been on many an all inc and stayed in Puerto Rico many times..we chose this as a base and a late deal and for the price it suited us fine..refused the first room offered as it was down a load of steps in the top part and just no good..got a lovely quiet room on the second floor instead overlooking sea. Nice clean apartments but a bit tired.. Good shower but be careful as you'll have a flood if you dont position it right. Cleaners 5 days a week..clean towels everytime. Breakfast is chaos..far too many guests for the restaurant..avoid 8.30-9.30.. We found food really good for 3* but use microwave. Sunbeds..theres about 30 decent sunbeds on the bridge so get up early to bag those..no one polices the 30 min rule.but they do become available in afternoon. The white sunbeds are only the base and will kill your back as no mattresses for these..probably why the massage lady was constantly busy..very good aswell. Drinks are usual all inc fayre..lager is Cruzcampo.. Bus stops for either direction outside the hotel.. Walk round to Anfi for boats or beach 10 mins..carry on for Arguiniguin.. 91 bus will take you to Las Palmas direct..worth the day out up there! Not much going on for kids..bit of entertainment at night up at top pool but we just went to beach bar at night to chill.. Would stay again if price right.

We stayed for one week in February and unfortunately the cleanliness and service standards were extremely disappointing. • Our room was not cleaned for four days. • Towels were not replaced properly during our stay. • The restaurant floor was visibly dirty and sticky on multiple occasions. • Lifts and communal areas appeared poorly maintained and unclean. • Multiple guests were openly complaining during our stay. • We were also required to carry our luggage up and down approximately 60 steps ourselves, which was extremely inconvenient and not what you would expect at this price point. We booked through Jet2, where the hotel was advertised as a 3-star property, however the hotel presents itself as 4-star. Based on our experience, the standards of cleanliness and service did not reflect either rating. While we made the best of our holiday by spending most of our time outside of the resort and still enjoyed time with family, the hotel itself did not meet acceptable standards of hygiene or guest service for the amount paid. I would not recommend unless significant improvements are made to cleanliness, maintenance and overall guest support.

The hotel experience has been decent, but during the valentines day special... things took a slow turn, we waited for our starter foods more than an hour.. the vibes were fun though and overall nice even if the service was slow. Staff. Throughout or stay had been pretty friendly and approachable! Hi to the kind ladies at the reception :)

Had a really great stay here almost a year ago. A lovely hotel with nice staff. Clean rooms, good food and drinks. In a few weeks now we are going back for 3 weeks. Can not wait. It is a pure bless to stay at Msrins Elite
