The Stag Hotel

Lovely over night stay, accommodation excellent, we booked a cosy room which was very nice, staff very friendly, bar service excellent, with quality ale, full English breakfast very good, would definitely recommend the stag hotel to visit.

Had a very nice weekend stay here. Great location right on Lyndhurst High Street. Stayed in a very comfortable and spacious room. Very warm room, nice hot showers, comfy beds. Cooked breakfast was great quality and always piping hot. Dinner in the evening was very nice too. Staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The stay was fantastic value for money. Car park isn't obvious to find, so make sure you check their website for the alternative postcode to use to find the parking at the rear. Bonus of an electric car charger for guests was appreciated. Only point I'd note is continental breakfast option was limited. It was cereal, toast or I think granola & yogurt was on the menu. A few pastures and fruit would be appreciated. But certainly didn't detract from a great place in a great location - would definitely recommend

An overall very pleasant stay with extremely friendly & accommodating staff. The room was slightly on the smaller side but had a lovely bathroom and all the toiletries you need! Great selection of tea & coffee. Exceptional breakfast however did take a little longer than anticipated (around 35 minutes) to come out to table. Keep topped up on refreshments in the meantime however. We had gone back as this was one of our first dates and was sad to see they no longer had a cocktail menu. Room service would be fantastic option down the line as the local Tescos closed earlier that stated and there is no where to grab a quick snack or drink for your room. Would happily come back due to the friendly atmosphere and stunning surroundings

A great stay in a lovely place central to Lyndhurst. Staff very helpful and my room was lovely and clean.

Great hotel, nice location, friendly customer service! Breakfast was good but slightly costly and separate from the room charge. The view and landscape was great even in February and a lot of parking spots! The town near by worth a visit! 👱‍♀️

Lovely cosy place

Absolutely amazing food and friendly staff, we keep coming back to the Stag as the staff are so good and the food is great, we had just popped in for a mid week dinner and it was so tasty. I will keep coming back to this pub as it is good food with a lovely friendly atmosphere

We were impressed with all the staff; the reception, the waiting staff and cleaners who were all friendly and genuinely seemed to care and happy to be of service to us. A big thank you, even our dog was happy. Only a slight downside is that if on the 1st floor over the bar area you can hear the music until bar is shut and staff finished clearing up.
