"A bygone era of stately country houses !"

Willington Hall Tarporley Cheshire. A bygone era of stately country houses serving ..just about ... A Sunday Lunch ! The menu including Beef/Pork/Fish etc and promising Yorkshire Pud where appropriate.. (But Didn't Arrive) ! Young pleasant staff hardly under pressure took an age to take our order which was eventually served by kitchen staff in grubby Chef Attire. Gastro pubs in the Area very busy... So work to do ... Willington!! Yorkshire Pud arrived eventually with ... apology... Far too late in my opinion. Food OK !

"Beautiful location but really disappointing quality and price."

The setting and location of this hotel is quite beautiful. The situation is fantastic and the views over their parkland and beyond are idyllic. The cooked a la carte breakfast was nice but the other breakfast options were limited to very simple cereals, yoghurts, juices and preserves. The young staff were very nice.

Our stay was ok, but this hotel, which is priced at a premium (£250+ per night) is, in reality, quite old and run down and is not really the fine country house hotel it purports to be. The hotel is in need of serious renovation and everything about it is quite 'old and tired'. This hotel could be beautiful, but it's a 3-star rating (at best) and needs some big investment in a quality renovation by the owners. I wouldn't stay here again in its current state at this price.

Food was very nice.

Not enough staff , no one to check us out when we left, always looking for someone for service? I still do not have my bill for the stay and can't check if it is correct? We booked the suite and it is very nice , except no towels had been left in the room.

"Mediocre , rigid and unfriendly hostess."

We married there 40 years ago, had a fabulous Time and wanted to « celebrate » with family … but what a disapointment .. Unfriendly hostess, zero flexibility with « rules ». ( We booked three rooms for four days so could have expected some degree of flexibility - hotel definitely not full !-). Overpriced . Slow service. Food not great. Fabulous location and potential, though: a pitty really.

Beautiful ad homely hotel. Staff very helpful. View from our room gorgeous. Food excellent.

Decor a little tired. Our Bath had bad damage marks. Drinks extremely expensive.

"Stunning Venue and outstanding customer service!"

I held a business event at Willington. A mini retreat about social media and I loved it and so did everyone who came along. The hotel and staff were super super friendly and went out of their way to help. The food and the mocktails were STUNNING! and the venue speaks for itself. Dreamy! Thank you Moira and team we will be back very soon! Highly recommend !
