Runaway Beach Resort by Magical Memories

It was not pleasant. Roaches every where. No customer service. Nothing good to say about this place.

We had a second story unit. First floor would have given us access to a patio. No parking available for an RV while staying in the condo. Master bed was good, beds in the other bedrooms were uncomfortable. The location was good, close to Sea World, Disney etc.

Nice Villas. Would have been nice to have the bar area open at the pool.

First appearance looked very clean but found lots of issues under couches and coffe table. Code to gate was changed on Thursday and no one gave us new code even after calling twice. Dryer did not work .

The condo was nice for a family to stay , But finding the place and getting the key was a pain and after hours workers were rude and didn’t give right info to the condo

Had many issues and no one cared to hear them. TV in the living room didn’t work. The washing machine only worked if you were there to bang on the lid after each cycle. The toaster didn’t work half the time. The water smelled awful! The basketball court wasn’t available as promised and the heated pool was ice cold until our last day there. Luckily I was there with my daughter and grandkids so we made the most of a bad situation.

We enjoyed the Villa and our stay. Check- in was a hassle. You have to drive to a different location to check in and we did not realize this. We eventually found check in procedures on our reservation but it was not obvious. An email ahead of time for non traditional procedures would have been helpful. There is also no one around if you need extra towels or sheets. We loved the accommodations and the pools.

Everything went well and the stay was pleasurable. The check in is a little tricky if you arrive late but easy to complete.

We had a late check in. We travel to the resort and the office is closed... there were no instructions at the property about going to a completely different office to check in. We go there and that office is also closed so again we have to call hotels.com to find out our paperwork is to get into the room. When we open the room door the room was very funky smelling like damp moldy carpet. There was layers of dust under the beds and dresser. This place was much better when it was associated with Mike Ditka. We paid our room and each day kept getting a notice taped to the door to pay for the room or be locked out. When we finally go back to the office because funds had already been withdrawn from our account she has an attitude about the matter and has to call someone hands us the phone where we sat on hold for 45min. Never spoke with anyone because we had reservations that we were late to. The pots provided are warped and don’t sit flush on the glass top stove so you couldn’t cook food evenly. An ironing board is in the room..however we bought a cheap iron from Walmart because we would have had to travel back up to the office two blocks away to check one out, and I believe they charged for it. I use to stay here all of the time when it was with Mike Ditka. The service and quality is not worth the money. No hdmi hook up for tv... TVs look like they’re from the 80’s. Basic static ridden picture, my kids looked at tv on their laptop when we were in the room.Thankful WiFi worked

We booked a villa at Runaway Beach Resort last July, to be at the same resort as our friends who we were vacationing with. Upon check-in we were given a condo at a resort 13 kilometres away from Runaway Beach Resort while our friends were checked in to Runaway Beach Resort. Despite the fact that we had a confirmation from Expedia confirming our booking at Runaway Beach, the staff at Magical Memories said Runaway Beach was fully booked and we could not get a room there. The staff said when they get bookings through Expedia, they don't know the location being booked, they just assign a condo, and we'd have to take it up with Expedia. Our group voiced our dissatisfaction of being split up for our vacation and requested a resolution. We were told that the manager would contact us the next day but we did not hear from them.
