Lamplighter Motel

The room wasn’t ready an hour after check in time, people were living in the motel and would gather outside our room to smoke at all hours of the night being loud. The property wasn’t really clean or kept up. Was told by the locals that the drug addicts are put up in this motel

The motel was fine. Room was clean. Coffee pot had a filter so I could use my own brand of coffee. The door was broken, and they were unable to fix it. The room had two rooms as advertised but truthfully only two beds and a pull out couch, that was horrible and not comfortable to sleep on. And apparently unbeknownst to us, the upper floor was contracted out via the county to house people due to COVID.

We stay one night, go fishing, caught 6 fishes. We stay family room, big enough for 4 to 6 people. Deds comfortable, room clean, they do extra time for cleaning the room, wood floors.

I didn't even need to STAY at this dump to have a crappy experience. Wow. Heaven forbid you try to walk down to the lake shore with your dog on a beautiful sunny day. There are NO signs saying anything about private property, but some old fat rude guy will come down to you yelling that it is, and if you aren't staying here, you cannot walk down to the water. Again, ZERO signs, and for crying out loud, I was going for a jog with my dog on a beautiful sunny day. I dont live in this town, and WOW do I know why now. Awful. What is your PROBLEM??

Hotel has nice location and few nice thjngs like fridge and newer sheets and bathroom. Problem is fridge didnt work, they only gave us 1 roll of toilet paper a day and room service from the maids was only half done.

Hotel is a bit outdated. Toilets barely flush and fridge didnt work. Room service was mediocre. They only came after 3 days and then only did partial services. Really bad dirt and cobwebs in windows. Overall for the money decent but if had the choice would go somewhere else.

The staff was very nice at the check in. The room, though, was grungy, dated, damaged and the crawlspace flooring gave way to pressure over most of it's surface. This place needs some work and I can't recommend it.

Stay away from clearlake. Much better places not to far.
