El Ksar Resort & Spa- Family Hotel

We visited this resort during Easter holidays and we felt there were lots of elements that felt like such a let down. Let me start with the positives first. The staff were very friendly and polite. Resort looks immaculate and poolside is very relaxing. The beach is conveniently located just behind the outdoor pool. To top it off, the food was delicious. In addition the hotel is conveniently located near the local bazaar and malls. Now for the negative experience we had. Room had no AC, although we were told it did. At night it got so hot we had to open the balcony doors and you would get mosquito and bugs creep through. We did ask for a fan as we have a toddler and after asking several times, they kept saying they will check for us tomorrow. We never got that fan. Secondly, entertainment was non existence. They did do water aerobics, darts and other beachside sports but in the evening there was no real performance or entertainment. Other than the same European nursery rhymes and disco for kids. So don't expect any entertainment that includes any form of performance. For example no magicians, dancers or anything of that sort. The last let down, after all this, the pool was freezing cold. Despite temperatures of 25 to 26 degrees. The pool was absolutely freezing. The pumps were all switched off during our stay and we did raise this several times. Just as well the waterside was closed for maintenance. My advice, it's not too bad of a place but if you can get it at a bargain, it's worth visiting. I wouldn't pay a lot like we did. Also keep good amount of tipping money as waiters and waitresses will be more inclined to look after you. Thank you for reading.

We had the pleasure of meeting Ashraf, the photographer at El Ksar Resort & Thalasso, during our stay, and we highly recommend his services! Ashraf is extremely professional, while also being very friendly and positive. He creates a relaxed atmosphere, so even people who are not comfortable in front of the camera can feel at ease and look great in photos. He has a great eye for detail, perfect timing, and fantastic ideas for shots. The photos he took for us are absolutely beautiful – full of emotion, natural, and perfectly capturing the holiday vibe in Tunisia. They are a wonderful souvenir that we will cherish for a long time. If you have the chance to book a session with him during your stay, don’t hesitate – it’s definitely worth it!

Mini club my family loved it, Gigi has been super amazing, very playful and atleast we got a chance to leave kids with her and step out adult alone. Gigi, we really appreciate you, we will miss your vibes All staff to be honest was super amazing, we had lovely table with deco (requested), and their charming and service ❤️ 😍

Our trip at El Ksar was indeed a memorable one, at first after reading the reviews before our trip, I must say I was a bit sceptical but on arriving until we left, it was nothing like the reviews we read. It was fun, entertaining, animation team was amazing with the children especially GiGi, she made the kids felt at easy and comfortable with her right away. She had the kids couple of times while we went for our hammam. By the way, best hammam I have ever had, I wish my skin stay this way..clean and smooth for ever m😅! The kitchen staffs were so helpful and friendly all the time even going extra mile to decorate a table for our special birthday dinner for the kids. Thank you Team El Ksar, I will surely come again if given the chance🥰🥳

Actually The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Food was good with a decent variety, though a bit repetitive after a few days. The best part was the animation —super fun and energetic team, with great daytime activities and amazing night shows that made the stay really enjoyable. Overall, a great place if you’re looking for a fun and lively vacation.

Arrived at hotel staff very unpleasant I paid for all inclusive and because I am Tunisian they put me on a different band to everyone else which wasn't needed, rooms was very old and outdated and also when we left the room and came back in the room would have a bad odour, food was disgusting always cold and also the staff didn't know I was Tunisian and the words they was saying towards people was very appalling, day and Night entertainment wasn't really much and the manager of the actual team he was unprofessional and made the animation like slaves, we played bingo 40 dinar and won but the prize they gave us was a mug which was worth 7dinar I will never come back to this hotel again, also if you plan to stay in bed later than 7am then avoid because always something going on around hearing every noise possible

There is so much to say about El Ksar. Both myself and the wife had an amazing time here, claiming this as our best holiday to date and will be returning in the forthcoming future. Check in: This was a challenge at first due to finding out we can't check in till 2pm, which was fine until our room was not ready till 25 mins later after the time to check in. Besides this, these guys were very helpful with other queries so not a bad start! Room: Amazing sea view with the balcony, spacious double room and daily towels/room clean which was amazing. We created a "towel war" with our cleaner and decided to create some towel animals for fun! A tip goes a long way, so please feel free to do so if you are able to. Food: for myself, the buffet restaurant hit the spot for each meal, and the tunisian cuisines were very tasty. Massive shoutout to the two waiters (i didnt get their names) who looked after us, always made sure our drinks were topped up, even when i was looking away. They know exactly who they are, and are so kind and humble they have my biggest respect, i hope them the best in life! My wife enjoyed some foods, although she did experience some tummy upset on one occasion, which meant she had to eat out until her stomach was better. Likely due to changes in water. There were plenty of options available, and the menu does change daily. We did not try the A La carte restaurant on ground level so we cannot comment on this. For the all inclusive benefit, you definitely get your moneys worth with all the good drinks at the bar/machines. Entertainment: The animation team were superstars at keeping us tourists entertained, shout out to Deeno (with the cap!) For sorting out our prizes for winning bingo/tombola, DJ Ramos for being amazing at what he does, both music and bringing a smile to our faces, Rico for showing us the best dance moves and his good heart, Shibaru (sorry if I spelt this wrong!) Aka Shooting star for his talented dancing at the disco night, and what i nicknamed as Mr Zumba (leads the zumba and other activities) for showing us some cool dance moves and making our night. There may be more but they are all amazing! Excursions booking: Ahmed (aka Ali baba) loves his daily steps, you will catch him everywhere at the resort and will catch you to book some excursions, can't fault his salesmanship and can arrange quads, boat trips, camel riding etc. Definitely worth booking but don't be afraid to haggle! Overall, this is my honest account of El Ksar, and we have enjoyed our time massively. We will miss the friendships created, the ups and downs and everyone that made our trip the best! Inshallah we will return once again Tips: Download Indrive for reliable taxis to anywhere you need, and Glovo for food delivery (like uber eats)
