Ambassador Inn

There is no elevator access to the 2nd or 3rd floors. We had to carry our luggage up 2 long flights of stairs. There was only 1 available electric plug in the room. Our fridge & microwave didn't work until the fixed the electrical problem. No ice machines available on the property

Great for teenagers or college students, but left a lot to be desired for anyone looking for more upscale accommodations. There was no fan or towel racks in the tiny little bathroom. The bathroom sink was outside the bathroom, next to the beds. the shower head was a little plastic clip-on thing that fell off in your hand whenever one tried to redirect the spray. There were no shelves in the refrigerator, except one on top that was apparently a freezer. Our slice of pizza froze to that surface and we had to leave it. There was no way to put any other food in there. Two outlets were broken, and there was a large head-sized hole in the wall between the beds. Rooms too small to include a desk, and no luggage caddy available. The ice machine & pool were in a completely different hotel! And the A/C unit could wake the dead. And no elevator. Lots of noisy partying going on at nighttime, so definitely best for the younger crowd

Great location but the hotel needs MAJOR updating. The tile floor was cracked and coming apart, we were afraid we would fall through the floor. The whole place smelled like old mold, all the furniture was in bad condition, our "apartment" was next to the unmarked front office so people kept trying to walk in, for the same price we couldve stayed in a better place

Shower head was snapped off in wall, sink was broken and spayed outward, TV did not work. Place is a dump.

We liked the convenience of being close to the boardwalk at a reasonable hotel fee. The only thing that was difficult for us, was to try to charge our electronic devices with very limited outlets. I would suggest taking A multi plug adapter.

The beds were the smallest queen size mattress I’ve ever seen, not even comfortable. The web site showed a kitchen, all we had has a little fridge an microwave. But a family of 4 with 2 small children on the 3rd floor. Only good thing about the room has it was one block from the boardwalk. They never even showed up up to clean our room for a 5 days stay. There’s a lot of other bad things to write about this hotel, but I never stay there again or even refer anyone to stay there

For starters my room was on the 3rd floor I have rheumatoid arthritis and it hurt my knees terribly let along took for ever to walk up the steps. The room didn’t have my amenities such as an iron , hair dryer, phone etc. The room didn’t have a cozy feel to it but it was ok feel one night .

From the pictures online, I did not expect anything spectacular but I did expect at minimum an average room near the beach. The room was dirty with obvious old stains on the walls and on the lamp shades, the bathroom was minimally clean with a layer of dirt around the molding, and the microwave appeared as though it legitimately melted on the inside. The hot water for the shower would go in and out throughout your time in the shower and on the third night the water just stopped mid-shower for approximately 5 minutes before coming back on alternating between hot and cold. The first staff member I told about the water apologized and said he would have maintenance look into it. He must have as the second day was fine. I told a different staff member that the water legitimately went out mid shower without me turning it off and he seem as though he was annoyed that I was telling him and gave a half-hearted apology. The other guests staying there made it interesting to not know if it was the television or guests fighting. With all of this, the ONLY great thing about this spot is the location. It was 2 blocks from the boardwalk and the beach so pretty centrally located, however there are several other hotels also centrally located that would likely be a cleaner option for similar price. I would NOT recommend this property at all.

We stayed here for 5 days/4 nights. We were on the 3 floor with no elevator. We had no wifi in our room the entire stay, even though we complained to the staff multiple times about it. The pool that the website said they had was at a different hotel entirely, and that hotel was a block away! Only free outlet was right above the sink. We had ants coming into our room by the window next to the sink, which was in the room and not in the bathroom. Very disappointing hotel experience.
