Palmbeach Resort and Spa Mactan

We held a stay-in conference for 3 days per group (of four) on different dates. The rooms are not exactly new but well kept and very spacious compared to other modern resorts. The staff and management are both accommodating, friendly and immediately attends to our requests. Food was okay but they readily agreed to provide us other selections according to our groups' needs. It's not really a big resort so the place was not congested with tourists as almost half of the total number of rooms were occupied by our groups. The only hitch was the wifi was poorly working in some areas of the resort.

We stayed for three days at this resort and while its service was okay, its staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were spacious, I find its facilities rather old, its room rate high, and its food not that good. There are definitely more modern and perhaps even less expensive accommodations at Punta Engaño in Mactan, Cebu. The resort is also quite isolated. The nearest tourist attraction, which is the Mactan Shrine, is some 2kms away and transportation is not easy to come by. While there is WIFI signal in most areas of the resort, it is not always that strong. Lastly, while the resort organizes island hopping tours and has scuba diving facilities, it doesn't have a beach where you can stroll along and swim.

“Free water” means two v small bottles a day. Fortunately there is a 7/11 open 24/7 directly across the street. They are nice people. Hotel staff are nice except for management. At checkout he tried to shake us down for an additional 20 dollars U S Our room towel was stained ??? I think the towel was a plant. Also the ride to airport was a scam. Private car, not a taxi. 700 pesos?? Terrible experience. If you are not Korean, do not stay there.

Nice place with nice people. Staff is really friendly and helpful….however this place is right in the middle of nowhere. We arrived after a couple of long flights, stayed 2 nights just to be unjetlaggd...it works for that...

The area is clean and has a pool. Staff were nice and friendly and we were able to check in on time and no hassle in checking out.

Just take the time to read the reviews before mine. I should have. It's all there. Bottom line- this place is run down. Dated in all respects. My biggest complaint was with the wifi. They claim to have it. But don't plan on using it. You wont. It is not located in the room. It is a week outdated system located in the hall. You wont even get it at the pool. One thing you will notice about reading these reviews is they are responded to by a very nice person in management. Well, she is good with words. She seems like she cares. They are listening and working on things. But that's all it is. Fancy words not backed up by a shred of care. She will blame it on the island's internet service but that is not true. It is all just outdated equipment poorly placed. Been that way since 2015 when she said they were improving it. This hotel has no soul. You will know you made a mistake within the first hour.

I think the hotel is okay for the price i paid and the most amazing thing was the staff who work there helpful smiling everytime doesnt hesitate to assist as we ask for help.Staffs named Gabriel, Gleenn, Allysa were very helpful and aprreciated what they did for me in my trip. But should have better wifi condition n hotel should arrange taxi for the guests during their departures.Its hard to get taxi there.

I didn’t entirely hate this place. Staff was friendly and helpful. Brought extra sheets and room service was fast. Manned gate, very safe. Rooms were spacious, AC units disguised background noise. Unfortunately, the hotel was dated and dark. There was no swimmable beach. I’m in the Philippines here folks. Food was pretty bad, could’ve gained a lot of points by better options and drinks. Shower temp was chilly a couple times. The neighborhood itself was in a pretty poor area, which I don’t mind but there was only a few other hotels and restaurants within walking distance, nothing to see. Taxis and “buses” were readily available but the only great thing about this location was the price. I would recommend staying anywhere else (try Oslob!) or even Cebu City where you’re closer to the action.

We stayed here for an overnight. The staffs were friendly and polite. The breakfast too was delicious. They don’t have beach but they have pools which was amazing and we enjoyed using the jacuzzi. I also like the ambiance of this resort . The check out time is 12 noon. We check out before the check out time. The two receptionist was busy entertaining guests. In the reception area we thought that something bad happened because there were people shouting but in turns out that only staffs at the back of the reception was laughing hard and maybe they were very happy tellin some stories. One of the receptionist immediately closed the door but still you can hear them screaming. The bellman assisted us with our luggage’s and we were happy. Overall my experience was great and I will recommend this to my friends and relatives.
