The location was perfect

The bathroom was across the corridor, which was not stated or wouldnt of booked. Advertised free parking, yet was only 6 spaces so had to park up the road at a cost. The mirrors were dirty and overall cleanliness of the bathroom and flooring was not good.

Not very clean, not told that we had to walk across a hallway for our bathroom. Black mould around window frame, lamp didnt work. Small electric fam full of dust. Hair on the bed. Dust everywhere

Perfect position bed very comfortable and very clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

I stayed in a small but pleasant and well appointed single room with en-suite with the usual facilities - tea, coffee etc. The bed was excellent as was the shower. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. I didn't have dinner there but the beer was very good

The stay was marred by a number of issues- I had specifically booked accommodation with ‘car’ parking and while I was able to squeeze my large motorbike into a corner there was no space left for a car. My room was very hot and the sash window was broken so would not stay open at any position. There was a fan available but whilst not overtly noisy wasn’t a solution that suited me. However, I was given the pile of beer mats I requested to prop it open. Another issue was privacy – the bed was directly in front of the large (1.5m x 1m) four pane sash window opening onto a staircase and the windows of some other part of the hotel. Three of the four panes were frosted but one of the lower panes wasn’t which compromised my privacy significantly and I had to draw the curtain to get changed. I was in Room 2 directly adjacent to the fire door entry whose door closer needed adjustment to stop it banging closed every time someone came or went. The Veggie Breakfast was a real disappointment with ’hash browns’ and ‘eggs’ (plural) tuned into hash brown and egg (singular) but not the veggie sausages of which I got two. More importantly the sole hash brown was overcooked and burnt. I noted that while there were only four solo travellers in for breakfast another punter had to ask after his missing bacon
