Love the grounds and the setup

There was stain in carpet, the bedroom balcony door lets water in at the bottom left. The steam room tiles are coming off the seats. The salt room ceiling looks like it’s going to fall off

Can’t say anything negative at all, it was wonderful to go somewhere that goes above and beyond to make sure your stay and experience is one to enjoy and want to return, every member of staff where so wonderful and friendly and there to assist you with anything. The food is amazing the grounds are beautiful, the spa although small has all you need, while I was there is used the gym the spa , had treatments and did a couple of classes. My stay was fantastic and I came away relaxed and recharged. I can’t wait to return.

Myself and my friend visited Life house for a birthday trip on the late may bank holiday weekend. I went with realistic expectations as I anticipated with it could be very busy, from the moment we checked in until when we were left we were very pleasantly surprised! The lovely weather may have helped as people were able to sit outside but nowhere felt too busy, the grounds are so big, its didn't ever feel like we were crammed in, I really enjoyed the sunbeds by the lake, it was so peaceful down there! The food was really nice, the only thing that we didn't love was the bar menu for lunch which is really quite reduced on a Sunday, there wasn't much choice. On the whole we really liked our room, with doors opening up fully so you could sit and have your welcome prosecco with the sun shining in on you, it really felt like we were on holiday! The shower was great too, the only downside, is there was no aircon, we visited during a heatwave so it was very hot! We did have one small table top fan but I think a more substantial tower fan should be provided if no aircon! The main thing that I really noticed about this spa were the staff, they were all so friendly, helpful and genuine! A particular shout out to Mandy who served us in the restaurant in the evening, she was so kind, helpful and lovely! Also we did one of the free workshops ( would recommend!) with Dolly, she was so informative and her wealth of knowledge was so impressive! There is nothing she does not know about skincare! Dolly was so warm and friendly and really guided me with a skincare purchase but without being pushy at all. Dolly is a real asset to Life house! Finally - I left my cardigan in the bar which I didn't notice until i got home, I contacted the lifehouse who came back right away and arranged postage to it for me which i was super grateful for. We will be back! :)

Room so hot ,no air conditioning. Told reception Beth and manager Julie. Beth suggested we should have asked for thin sheet and a fan. Not what I thought of doing at 1 am . They were aware of the problem I've seen on other reviews now. The bedroom carpet is stained room 36 willow. In general many areas need updating. Over priced and under delivered. I emailed them also with no reply.

The grounds the hotel is set in are beautiful. We enjoyed walking around them. Hotel very modern. Lovely swimming pool. Lovely double room and walk in shower.

Breakfast wasn't up to expected standard for a hotel of this calibre and price. We were told they couldn't do poach eggs as they wouldn't be able to 'cope' so only scrambled and fried eggs available. We have never experienced this before and have stayed in many large hotels all over England. Not enough fruit on offer. We also couldn't get an ice bucket from the bar and were told they didn't have ice available to give out! As there was no fridge in our room we needed an ice bucket to put our water in. There was no complimentary water in the room. No air conditioning either and it was very hot. Just a small fan provided.
