Benikea Calton Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin

A nice hotel just for an overnight stay. Room is too small and has no furniture. You will be setting on the bed.

For a 4-person room, better to have one to 2 more stands for the suitcase

Service was good and people were being friendley except bed condition. Spring was almost sticking out and nudged my back over all night. We couldn’t get slip well.

The room wasn't exactly dirty, but it could have benifited from a proper scrub-down. My first night there, I was looking forward to a nice hot bath after spending all day walking around, however there was no hot water and it remained that way until the next day (I did call the reception and to their credit they were very helpful in trying to solve the problem though). The staff was nice and friendly and very helpful.

My stay at this hotel was by far excellent. Everything was within walking distance. The rooms are pretty good sized. Very affordable all around.

Not near main Hakata or Teinjin area however can overcome this by buying 2 day JR unlimited ride pass for just 720yen . There is a subway station Watanabe-dori just 5 mins walk north and one stop away will be in Teinjin area. Also there is also a bus that goes to airport just 3 mins walk.Ask the hotel reception and they will direct you where exactly the bus stop is. However this is NOT direct airport bus and it takes 30 mins besides early timing are not so regular, make sure you check the time. The reception staff is OK but only one man speaks very good English and another lady very helpful, the rest of reception staff need improvement.

The staff including cleaner are very nice. The room for 4 guests just comfortable. Got bad smell of the carpet inside room.
