Hotel Kapil

We stayed there for our honeymoon in December.I am writing the review for the hotel under the various areas. 1. Location: The Hotel is located a few steps below Mall Road(Lakkar Bazaar), means you can reach mall road in around 10 minutes from this hotel on foot.It is located near Radisson Hotel (for those who go there first time, Radisson is the landmark to reach the hotel).Proper parking is available for Cars,etc. 2. Rooms: We stayed in Super Deluxe Room. The room was very good, all facilities of hot water etc were available. Electric Kettle was provided to us for making Tea/Coffee 24*7 whenever we wanted. Haridryer was also provided in bathroom. Overall we were very happy with the room and the ambience. The view from the room was awesome.Electric Blanket was there although we wanted a room heater to heat the room but it was not available. 3. Food: The food was good and economical. The items on the menu were the usual ones but the quatity was more than sufficient in the order. 4. Service: The room service was also very good and quick. The reception persons were very soft spoken and responded to all our queries very quickly. Overall we will highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Shimla.

Nice room. Very attentive and helpful staff. Location good. Would have been nice to have some outdoor space within the hotel as didn't have anywhere to sit outside and our room wasn't overlooking the view.

Small hotel. Had to walk two flights of stairs down to my room. But magnificent view. Plenty hot water, coffee amenities in the room - a blessing. Poky internet, slightly better in the lobby.

awesome stay for family and the food was excellent ,made us feel at home ,highly recommended for shimla trip. service was excellent.

We loved this hotel. There aren't many rooms, but be absolutely sure to pay a little extra and get a "Super Deluxe" room, like we did. The view is absolutely spectacular. I believe the cheaper rooms don't have a view. The difference in price is very little. Our room was (by our standards) huge, beautifully decorated, and the most amazing picture window. Like most hotels in Shimla, this is not in the centre of town, but the quality was obviously much higher and views far more spectacular. The in-room food offered was reasonably priced, however it was the BEST food we had anywhere during our month of travelling in India. The gentleman who attended our room was brilliant and always cheery. We happily gave him a tip (which is quite unusual for us).

I stayed for 2 nights in July, with my family (3 kids). A very nice hotel, friendly staff, good value for price. They have a free shuttle up to (close to) Shimla main square. I reccomend it deeply!

Excellent place to relax, very friendly staff, good location (10min walk to the ridge) and excellent food!!!

One night stay. Beautiful view looking down the valley. Hotel outside main part of Shimla, but views fantastic.
