Really nice location in the jungle with fresh air and beautiful sounds of nature. Great and helpful host and the place was really clean and nicely equiped with everything. Super yummy vegan breakfast. Highly recomend! 👍🏼

This is the absolute platinum standard in customer service - we live to travel and we have NEVER stayed anywhere where we felt so welcome, so taken care of and so valued. Our room was one of the favourite we have ever stayed in - right in the rainforest, complete with monkeys visiting our balcony, and a view overlooking the sea. We had a turndown service twice a day, they even provide all the mosquito protection you need, plus water, teas, coffees, soft drinks which are complimentary. Breakfasts are incredible, prepared fresh to order. The staff really are the stars of this show; they genuinely make you feel like they can’t do enough for you. Fact is - and I’m not ashamed to admit it - I cried when I left. I so very much hope we get to stay here again one day. Thank you to all the incredible staff for every moment.

What an amazing place! The room was terrific, the surroundings were beautiful, the staff were very attentive and professional. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to come back again sometime.

Amazing place with amazing people. The room looked beautiful and it was so clean we didn't want to leave it hahah. The staff are so nice and the food in their restaurant is exceptional. There's a driving service to take you to their room but we chose to walk because it was so beautiful.

My experience at Ambong Ambong was just exceptional! Above my expectations! Mainly due to the level of service (all the staff is definitely dedicated to the wellness of their customers and in particular Azzah) but also the location in the middle of the forest! I highly recommend this place : vegan food option is also excellent. A wonderful place to take a break with an amazing service and kindnesses !!!

Ambong Rainforest Retreat is a wonderful and unique experience while visiting the remarkable island of Langkawi. Guests are emerged into a tropical rain forest setting with stunning views towards the sea from the rainforest on a hill. I would say that the single most appealing aspect of a stay there is the excellent service of the staff. These individuals make the experience all the better with their kindness and service orientation to the highest level degree! Highly recommended!

It was a fabulous 4 nights stay at Ambong Ambong with my sister! We chose a double room, which was nestled in nature. The best experience I’ve ever had in a resort. The staff were very warm & hospitable, attends to our WhatsApp messages speedily, and always ready to greet us with a smile & recommendations. Despite the steep slopes that the resort was located in, it was easy to navigate as we could contact the staff via WhatsApp and they would appear in minutes with a car to drive us up and down the resort, as well as to the neighbouring Rimba restaurant if needed. We even had monkeys visiting our balcony, and enjoyed the free morning yoga session once, during our visit. As a vegetarian, my dietary restrictions were allayed with the wide range of breakfast options in Pegaga and Rimba restaurant to choose from. It is an excellent resort to stay, if you have vegetarians and non-vegetarians travelling together, and want a homely resort nestled in nature! One of a kind experience in Langkawi!

Our 3 day, 2 night stay at Ambong Ambong Rainforest Retreat was truly one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and genuine care from the staff. The villa was beautifully designed—rustic yet luxurious—blending seamlessly with the surrounding rainforest. Waking up to the sounds of birds, insects, and the gentle rustle of leaves was incredibly calming. The views were breathtaking, especially in the early morning and every detail of the retreat felt thoughtfully curated to help guests slow down and unwind. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious meals that felt both nourishing and indulgent. We also loved spotting wildlife around the property, which made the experience feel even more special and immersive. Ambong Ambong is the perfect place to disconnect from the busy world and reconnect with nature, your partner, and yourself. Our stay left us feeling refreshed, grounded, and grateful—and it’s an experience we’ll cherish for a long time. We cannot recommend this rainforest retreat highly enough and would love to return someday. 🌿✨

Our stay at Ambong Rainforest Retreat was unforgettable. The property itself is absolutely amazing - perched on a lush hillside with views that genuinely took our breath away and far exceeded our expectations. And the service… wow. From the warm smiles that greeted us on arrival to the heartfelt goodbyes at checkout, every staff member made us feel truly cared for. Their thoughtfulness and lightning-fast responses were unlike anything we’ve experienced elsewhere. This is the perfect place to unwind for a few blissful days. Being surrounded by nature created a calm, restorative atmosphere, and the morning yoga sessions were such a peaceful highlight. We specifically booked this retreat because their on-site restaurant is fully vegan (unlike the sister property across the road), and it was absolutely the right choice. Breakfast was consistently delicious, and the complimentary afternoon tea was phenomenal. We took the shuttle to the Rimba restaurant for the views and were worried the vegan options might be limited- but the variety blew us away: spicy tofu noodles, crispy spring rolls, fresh fruit, even carrot cake! Everything was wonderfully thoughtful, though we did have one small mix-up when non-vegan butter was served with toast one morning. Also, the restaurant offers wine but not beer, which wasn’t ideal for us personally - but honestly, it complements the serene rainforest atmosphere, so we understood the choice. The location was perfect; peaceful and quiet on the edge of town, yet walking distance to several restaurants, with Grab rides incredibly affordable. The nearby beach was stunning- far cleaner and more tranquil than busy Cenang. A truly magical part of our stay was the wildlife. We adored watching the families of monkeys, especially the charming black-and-white Dusky Leaf Monkeys who wandered right past our patio. Just be mindful of the cheekier grey ones- they’ll happily “borrow” anything left unattended! And yes, there are a LOT of steps, very steep ones, but the shuttle service was always prompt and made it easy to get around. Overall, Ambong Rainforest Retreat gave us one of the most serene, memorable, and heartwarming experiences we’ve ever had. We left feeling grateful, rejuvenated, and already dreaming of coming back. Highly, highly recommended!
