The best part of this hotel was the friendly, helpful staff. This hotel is well situated if you enjoy lots of walking.
Although the property in areas was in need of updating, our room certainly. it was clean and well looked after. The high point of the hotel was the food which was always delicious, with good choices and plentiful. The staff in the restaurant were pleasant and helpful. The walk into the town centre of 10 - 15 minutes became a chore, and there was nowhere to have a stroll in the immediate vicinity. Having said that, if you don't mind being slightly out of the centre it is a good hotel.
Arrived in the afternoon, room was clean, staff were polite and friendly. It was a very hot afternoon, we requested a fan as room was stuffy, a fan was provided and used for the duration of our stay. In the evening there was entertainment in the downstairs lounge. Meals were good, breakfast was buffet style, always hot and fresh. Minor drawbacks - lots of steps to the upper floors and no lift to the front part of the hotel and no air conditioning to the bed rooms.

Friendly welcoming staff. I’m Coeliac and was well looked after by the restaurant staff.
The staff were all very helpful, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was very good. Was great to have a a restaurant and bar on site. Our room was clean and good size, could do with a few hooks to hang coats, towels etc. Bed and pillows not that comfortable.
The staff were amazing. Rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast had a great selection. The room was a little dated but comfy bed and clean too. I would definitely go back.
