Nakamuraya Ryokan

We stayed for three nights and had a very comfortable stay. Beds were ready when we arrived late evening with a flask of hot water to make a green tea. Also had a flask of cold water. Fridge in the room too. Hairdryer and toiletries provided as well as towels which were fresh every day. My husband enjoyed the indoor onsen bath. Staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I travel a lot in my job, and i don't have time to write hotel reviews. This place is so good that I make an exception to do it. They don't speak English very well, but understand very well. The staff do a lot of small things to make you feel comfortable. The onsen was on maintenance for a couple days during my stays, and they upgraded my room and provided free breakfasts.. Room are always well prepared and clean when I returned from meetings. The breakfast is extremely good and authentic Japanese. Note that this is a ryokan, so you will experience Japanese way of overstay. If you are expecting for western food, room, then go find a hotel. But if you are looking for real Japanese hospitality and experience, then this is the place you want to go. Great and comfortable room. Very good central but quiet location. Friendly staff. Excellent onsen experience. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Sapporo next time. Thank you very much for the great stay.

Very nice welcome at the Ryokan. It's a simple place with traditional Japanese room. Very good value for money.

The place is about 20-25min walk from Sapporo station; we took cabs while we were staying there as it was winter. There is lift access to level 2, and a indoor onsen. There are 2 washing machines on level 2, operated by coins. There is no electric kettle available, only a thermal flask for hot water and one for cold water, though you can go downstairs and ask for a change of flask throughout the whole day (even before 6am), but it is kind of inconvenient if you suddenly want to have some instant coffee. There is a convenience store about 5 min walk away, but do note that the variety is limited in the shop. THere are restaurants in the buildings nearby but seems that they are all closed at night. Smoking is allowed in the eating area downstairs, and as there is no doors/partition between the eating area and the rooms upstairs, we can smell cigarette smoke on level 2. A ryokan experience, but do not expect brand new furnishings etc.

If you want to try a traditional Japanese Ryokan and you are in Sapporo this is the place. Stayed in Ryokan before this is just perfect. Location is incredible close to the botanic garden in a very quiet area, incredible as it is, because the main train station and the busiest neighbourhood are just 5 min away. The food is excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The place is clean and not at all expensive. The people working here they are so friendly and helpful. Just for anyone to stay in Sapporo

we had good experience at there. staffs 're helpful and friendly. Room is spacious and Futon is nice with fluffy & warm blanket. I love this place:)
