Wildwood Snowmass

Have stayed here many times. For the price I have never expected a lot, but location is amazing and because of that I don't have high expectations because as I said price wise it is a good deal. This stay however was miserable. I reserved a room with two beds and a balcony. The room we were given had two beds no balcony. The door would not shut the toilet didn't flush, and no phone. We immediately requested a new room and were told that they were fully booked and had nothing else despite being told at check In that they were still cleaning rooms if we wanted to wait. Finally, they gave us a room that they said was intended for a resort employee. I think this room was possibly worse. There was only one double bed. No chairs for the table, no bedside table. A toilet that flushed but after every use we had to go into the tank to get the water to stop running. No outside lighting which made getting to the room at night a little scary. I will say that the front desk employee, Ada, was extremely apologetic and made attempts to correct our problems. At checkout I expressed to Evan, another desk clerk my frustration and showed him photos of the sparse room. I asked that they provide some discount or waive the resort and parking fees or possibly comp one night. We were there for four nights. Despite all of this I will return to this property because the price can not be beat. That being said I do expect my room to be habitable.

This is my third time staying at this resort and it will be hands down my last. First, I understand that check in time is at 4p. I arrived early and the front desk associate took my name and number and said she’d call me once the room was ready. I waited patently in the lobby until just after 4p and had to approach the counter and ask if room was ready. Of course it was ready and no one bothered to call me. However, the 2 agents manning the desk had plenty of time to chat and play on their cell phones. The room was old and dated. There are no power outlets or USB charging ports near the bed. Instead, there are two power strips on each side of the bed. The power strips are connected via multiple extension cords that are tossed under the bed. If this isn’t a major fire hazard I’m not sure what is. There is no counter/vanity space in the bathroom so there’s no where to place your toiletries. Lastly, the noise of guests running back and forth outside at all hours of the night is crazy. Add to this people talking all night outside. This hotel is equivalent to the Roadway Inn, except that they charge 5 times the price for a room.

Parking is not included, it's $30 a night but I was charged $56 for one night. Keep that in mind when booking here

Staff slow not a lot spoke English

This was a very unusual hotel stay. It took an hour to check-in and get a parking pass and I still had a ticket when I went to leave the next morning. The pillows are very thin but the room was comfortably warm. It was not specified that the rooms were exterior, that they were not accessible from inside the hotel. We got on the elevator from the lobby and went up to our floor where the door opened to an outside walkway where the room was entered from. I don't mind these kinds of hotels, but it should be clear in photos and description. Noone was at the desk for check-out, I had to call a number posted. There was some confusion about our room, I was told that I could not have been in the room I was in because it was under someone else's name. After being put on hold twice and talking to e people, it was discovered they thought I was at a different hotel. it took 20 minutes to check out. One night's stay was $460 once resort fees, taxes, and self-parking are added.

The room was very clean, but the lobby needed attention. There was a used cup sitting on a side table when we got there at 2:00pm and it was still there the next day when we left, along with some random paper trash scattered on the floor that was there as well. The check in process was easy and the desk staff was very friendly. They tried to give us a regular king, but I presented the email confirmation showing the one BR suite and we got what we needed (traveling with two teens).

They charge for parking and no water in one of rooms

It was not bad, a roof, warm and stuff worked, i wouldve like to have breakfast in the hotel itself, the breakfast i did have was spendy ( 2 burritos and 16oz coffee 55 dollars not including tip) and at another hotel, aside that (christmas time) things closed early i understand family first, thank you, but i will make a different selection next time.

The cleaning team knocked on the door at 7:30am and again at 8 am while their check in is 4 pm. Why would you do cleaning so early if my checkout is 11am and you don’t let guests check in before 4pm!
