Elevator was out of order w no signs making it hard to get to our room.

I was up in Snowmass on business and took my family along for a nice getaway. The hotel is nice, but a little dated to the mid 1990s. Upon arriving and checking in I was told the new property owners were upgrading the HVAC, so my room has fans. This should have been a reason to comp something, but they charged me full price for the room. The fans did not help in the 95 degree weather. At night I had to open windows to cool the room. The hotel had a wedding reception going on that had loud music till midnight that kept me awake. In addition there were wildfires going on that over powered the room.

I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this hotel is part of a village with shops and restaurants! My friends traveling with me also appreciated that the staff went out of their way to bring a microwave to our room.

I had a great stay at Viewline Resort Snowmass! The staff were incredibly personable, friendly, and always willing to help—truly made the experience feel warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I also really appreciated the gym—it was spacious and well-equipped with a good variety of machines and weights. Would definitely stay again!

I’m extremely disappointed with how Marriott handled my recent reservation at the Viewline Resort Snowmass. I booked my stay well in advance, and at no point was I clearly notified that the hotel would be closed. In fact, I didn’t find out until I physically arrived at the property to check in—only to be told it was closed and that an email had supposedly been sent weeks prior. I received no such email. I checked my inbox, spam folder, and Marriott messages—nothing. The only message I got was a generic confirmation for a different hotel (Element Basalt Aspen), which included no explanation about why the change was made. There were also no calls or follow-ups. Even the Viewline website and FAQ had no mention of the closure during the dates I had booked. To make matters worse, the replacement hotel was over 30 minutes away, completely throwing off the plans for our trip. When I contacted Guest Relations, they apologized but refused to offer any compensation, claiming it was consistent with their policy. For a brand that emphasizes loyalty and guest experience, this was handled terribly. Marriott needs to seriously improve its communication and transparency. I’ll be sharing this experience so that others know what to expect.

The Viewline is a beautiful, beautiful hotel in a wonderful area. The hotel has its own amenities but a quick bus ride gets you to town, Aspen The staff is great, shout out to Luis, great job!, The in-house restaurant is pricey, but the food is fantastic. Even the bar food was well worth it
