Ballathie House Hotel

A really beautiful old house in a fabulous location. Thoughtfully brought up to date without losing its character. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent (although it was definitely expensive!)

There wasn’t a lift. I have a heart condition so I struggled with the stairs. However, it’s an old property so it’s understandable.

The location is superb. I’ve stayed many times before I can highly recommend the hotel .

Room 9 is lovely but very noisy with boiler or extractor underneath. Also housekeeping room directly across Very noisy first thing in morning with chatter.

We loved the location and setting and the excellent service provided by all staff. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

The grounds are beautiful and the public rooms very tasteful. Our meal was exquisite but bill for meal and drinks very expensive.

The riverside room was very comfortable but a little tired.

Lovely location with beautiful grounds which was great for my little dog

Food on site is expensive, albeit get tasty and very limited bar meal menu (dogs not allowed in restaurant)
