Ballathie House Hotel

Beautiful hotel and grounds, friendly staff, exceptional meal by a very talented Head Chef and his team. Super dog friendly. Lovely room, comfy bed, good shower.

We did not have an iron and ironing board but for the one night that wasn't an issue.

I liked the house and the garden and grounds. The breakfast was fantastic and the view out of our room was beautiful.

The furniture in our room was run down and needs to get replaced so the water kettle that looked quite old and sticky and also calcified so I didn't feel like making myself a coffee . Furthermore, I don't like that only a three or four course menu is offered and you can't order à la carte.

We had a spacious room with a four-poster bed, overlooking the river. All facilities were fantastic. Staff were very helpful and polite. Lovely old building with traditional furnishings. Stunning grounds. A really lovely stay!

Nothing to dislike.

Die Lage und das Schloss an sich sind sehr schön und imposant- das nebengebäude mit den Zimmern ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die ganze Anlage war sehr schön und gepflegt.

Die Zimmer sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen und leider absolut nicht sauber ich hatte Haare in der Dusche. Zudem ist es extrem hellhörig und nicht gemütlich das Bett ist absolut unbequem und die Bettwäsche hatte Flecken. Preis leistund sehr schlecht.

Great location. Exceptional views over the Tay, beautiful gardens. Old fashioned and full of character, a cosy bar, relaxing sitting room and lovely staff

Beds could be a bit more comfortable. Corridor to our bedrooms could do with a lick of paint and rooms a refresh of interiors
