Loved the traditional decor of the house and beautiful grounds. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful and food was delicious. Ideal location for us and our dogs.

"Exceptional"

We loved the quiet surroundings and the rooms to sit and have a drink socialized. The dinner was amazing!

Our room was great but a little dirty, dead bugs in the bathroom window sil, cobwebs ... just a little dusty overall.

"If you are going to overnight stay in the main house!"

The main house was very well presented, dinner was amazing, breakfast was good, staff were friendly and attentive.

The room was a garden room which was more like the old staff accomodation built in the 80's style of 'basic and slightly damp'. It served its purpose and we slept well though. Very different standard to the main house, poor tea/coffee selection, old and tired furniture, leaky shower and so on.

Beautiful relaxing setting. We didn’t manage to fully explore hotel amenities as we enjoyed a visit to the theatre in the evening dining in Perth. Enjoyed tasty breakfast the following morning.

Our room was positioned at the far end of the hotel requiring that we walked past kitchen. The corridor was full of kitchen aroma and understandably frequented by staff going back and fore with and without equipment. Our room was tastefully decorated and had lovely views out over the garden towards the river. The bed was extremely firm to point of disturbing our sleep and would be greatly enhanced with the addition of a mattress topper. We were also slightly shocked on our return from our trip to the Theatre, when the chair that my partner sat in to read his book suddenly gave way!
