having our own private pool

it did not feel like a private villa, you don't have a main entrance door that you could close and lock, so all the rooms tiered off the entrance hall have to be kept closed and locked.. also the private pool can be seen from other villas..

The beachfront location provides an ideal setting for a truly relaxing rest on the shore. The nighttime views are distinctly memorable, particularly due to the squid fishing activity off the coast. The ocean is illuminated in a manner reminiscent of a meticulously decorated Christmas tree.

Ah, the main pool was closed for maintenance — because nothing says "relaxing vacation" like the sound of power tools. As a bonus, I woke up one morning to a delightful snowfall of paint flakes drifting down from the exterior work above my balcony. Truly magical. The property has definitely seen better days — and I imagine those days were quite some time ago.

Private Pool

We booked 4 bedrooms villa but actually it's 4 different individual units in one block with a share common room and all open to a common open air corridor. It would be fine for a group of friends but as we travel as a family group it does not feel comfortable for us to move from room to rooms. Kitchen as bare, devoid all utensils, cups, plates etc.

The living area had a fridge and sink but no utensils at all which I thought odd. The living area renovation hadn't been finished on the wall which looked odd. There was a TV in each room but we couldn't watch local television on any of them. We did ask about the TV in the living area but the staff couldn't figure out how to make it work either and we could only look at stuff on you tube after my husband connected it to his phone. The food was geared to the Asian clientele so it may have been 5 star for them perhaps but not what I'm familiar with at all so my food choices were limited for buffet breakfast. My conclusion was it was to be expected I supposed for the price we paid as it was cheap.

Very value for money, price point can't be beaten for a '5-star' resort in Phu Quoc. Staff were friendly and assisted within their scope. We booked a 3 bedroom penthouse pool apartment but was upgraded to a 3 bedroom villa as they overbooked our original room type. Overall, we enjoyed our stay given the price we paid. However, if you're expecting a steal on a 5-star resort, you will be disappointed.

However, it ends there. It felt rough around the edges for both hard and soft product. Property is ageing and it shows, even the electric kettle provided in the room is on an adaptor and it smoked when plugged in. Villa is a standalone 2-storey building with separate rooms with individual card access, not what is expected of a usual villa layout. More like 3 rooms + a living in a standalone structure. There is no locked door that combines all the spaces. Private pool looked like it had dust or specks in it. Living room has no plates, no tissues, not even soap in the w/c - not what we expect of a hotel listed as 5-star. If Sofitel Bali is an impeccable 4-star hotel, this would be an underwhelming 4 star hotel or a large 3 star hotel at most, but I guess that's not how the star grading system works. I hope get my drift though. Beach isn't a private beach, there is a public road segregating where the hotel pool boundary is and the beach. Walk to Sonasea night market where Best Western is, is a good 10-minute walk. Breakfast options are decent but rather boring. Staff are friendly, but does not go above and beyond.

The location is very good. Not the busy and close the every location

The cleaning service is poor, and the breakfast is not good because the food does not taste good.
