Stay With Empire- Dickson Road

Check in was absolutely fine but the front door was unlocked which doesn't exactly scream "secure". The mattrass in the room on the left felt like it hadn't been changed for 20 years, it was misshaped and i didnt sleep a wink because of how uncomfortable it was. The red sofa/divan in the kitchen area had a snapped leg and had a Snickers wrapper stuffed down it so it's clear that maintenance is lacking. There was an iron but no ironing board, when i asked about this I was told that they'd get in touch with the cleaner, I told them not to rush but I didn't hear anything back so I had to put a towel on the table as a form of makeshift board. The pictures from the website compared to the actual room were completely different. I've stayed in 4* hotel rooms for 2 people for cheaper and had a much better experience than this was. Only positive was the shower, powerful and a great temperature but that's about it. Not somewhere I'd stay again.

Not as what was described definitely not a luxury apartment

The pictures are more than flattering to this place. The outside is horrible, the area is very rough, noisy neighbours, internet didn’t work, no toiletries, no towels, very unclean, suspicious red stains on the walls, flooring is chipped everywhere, no blind in a bedroom, the kitchen was disgusting, sofa ripped, beds are horrible, the tv doesn’t work, bathroom door doesn’t lock. I could go on and on. After complaining about lack of towels I was told to re-enter the horrible housing building you go through to get to this basement and lift a bag of towels; they were old, ripped and dirty. I ended up buying cleaning products and towels as well as cutlery and plates as the ones were disgusting in the place. The only reason we endured it was that there was no vacancies anywhere else and the kids wanted to go to the pleasure beach and we had travelled for this. The plugs have out of date PAT certificate stickers also on the ones that work which is not the bedroom fireplace.

This place was nothing like the advertised photos, filthy bed covered in hairs and the after 10 calls and emails I still haven’t heard back even though I told them I couldn’t stay there and had to book new accommodation , no reply regards refund !!! Beware don’t book this lace !!!!!!

Would highly recommend, was unsure at first, with some bad reviews but they where unfounded, very nice clean apartment with all utensils included, I will definitely book again The only thing that was a little let down was the TV was broke But I had my iPad so could still watch everything on that

Place was not clean properly& put oven on to it was smoking because it hadn't beem clean windows were mankie dont think they beem wash in week

This property has no heating no hot water tv broke only one plug sockets in the whole apartment works no communication with owner once your there she just doesn’t care and takes your money knowing you have no hot water or heating when temperature is -5 outside now she won’t reply to any emails of a full refund would advise anyone to stay clear of this property

I wouldn’t rate this property at all we got there 2 hours early our fault I know asked if it was possible to check in early was told £10 per hour finally checked in at 4pm out Normal time room was in the 3rd floor we was not told that I’m disabled and we had 2 babies in prams we got in the room and it had not been cleaned from the last occupants alcohol and rubbish in bedroom cooler sorry razors on the floor smash glass on the couch I called the emergents line and an hour and 3 calls later we was moved to the basement was much better but not without fault last occupants medication box in the draw for pregablin cupboard doors missing ect we was there for 2 nights and spent the day trying to not move back to the 3rd floor was told the room we was in was for 1 night and someone was due I. It but I could pay £350 to stay in it that night so they were either going to mess someone’s holiday up or they was lying about someone coming

Property was cold with heating not working. The shower is combi which turns water cold quickly then hot. Tv wasnt working for evening relaxation. If you call them thry are unhelpful and send no help. Emails from marika very unprofessional unhelpful too. Do not recommend this properly especially with kids.

Stay was nice , everything ABC , near town and convenient.
