Hyatt Place Tempe Phoenix University

The hotel was clean and associates were kind and helpful. The location was convenient to ASU and local dining options. Parking in the nearby garage was very convenient.

We attended an event at the ASU desert financial arena, and location is perfect, just crossing the street!! Novus Place is a short walk too, with many fabulous food options

Bed was comfortable room and facility looked clean

I appreciate the breakfast spread but a little salt would go a long way

Pros: Nice neighborhood near very good food. Cons: I had multiple problems at this hotel. Front desk check in was rushed and un-helpful. Housekeeping was surprisingly poor - lipstick stains on mugs when I arrived, items not cleaned, coffee pods not refilled, etc. I have never had this problem at a Hyatt before - housekeeping is always amazing. The wifi was really poor. The TV remote control worked only occassionally and made a lot of noise like there were little rocks in it or something (weird). Upon checkout the front desk said they would charge my credit card for the stay, despite this being a business trip and them having an authorization for the business card. I offered to resend the authorization to them as I had to do that once before at a different Hyatt and it did the trick. The front desk person said that wasn't necessary, he could see authorization and would be sure to charge the right card...a week later I checked my credit card statement and saw they charged the wrong card. I hope they did not charge both cards! I am a Globalist and have stayed at a ton of Hyatts and this was probably the poorest experience I have had at one. I love Hyatt but this hotel does not represent the brand well.
