Easy self check in, modern new bathroom, nice touches in room, tea, coffee, biscuits, good location

The room was clean and comfortable, and I really liked the password-based access system, which made check-in very convenient without needing to interact with staff. As someone with a bit of social anxiety, I especially appreciated this feature.

The lighting in the public areas is controlled automatically, which can be inconvenient. When I was working in the sofa area, the lights would turn off by themselves after a short period of inactivity. I had to keep moving around frequently just to trigger the lights again, which was quite disruptive.

The location of the hotel is excellent. It is very close to the TRAM with a very easy access to the main city sites. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Upon entering the room, an awful smell of burned gasoline met me. The room was equipped with only two very small windows and the smell didn't live the room throughout my stay. Unfortunately, there was no other room available. Then, the switch that opened the small window (that was to high for manual opening) stopped working and it took the very kind person in the reception about an hour to fix. On top of that, the bathroom looked like one in a hospital, very poorly designed and unwelcoming.

Staff excellent. Rooms clean. Great location.

Faulty-broken facilities. Skylight blind above bed had been removed "for repair" so room flooded with light at 5.30am and couldn't sleep. Kettle auto shutoff faulty and scalded my hand. Raised these points as a formal complaint by message to premises and got no reply (as of about 10 days ago). Seemed to be a maintenance problem generally - front door lock was broken when we arrived and was getting fixed. Another guest had a chair collapse under him.
