The whole setting is just fabulous. It is worth staying a night as you get to really explore the gardens. The staff was very accommodating to us, organising a special tour. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious

The lunch and dinner options were a bit boring. The Lunuganga salad could have been something fabulous considering all the fantastic leaves Sri Lanka has on offer but instead it was a plain, standard few lettuce leaves with a few flower petals. There is hardly any options for vegans which one of our guests is.

Beautiful Bawa excellence

I was captivated by its secluded location and natural beauty. The architecture, designed by Geoffrey Bawa, beautifully harmonizes with the lush surroundings, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff who made us feel right at home.

While my overall stay was delightful, I did find our rooms and bathrooms to be on the smaller side. However, these minor points did not detract from the magical charm of the estate.

The architecture and the grounds of this property are absolutely stunning. It is such a special experience to be able to stay in this estate and enjoy the grounds. The staff go out of there way to ensure you have an easy and restful stay. Could t recommend more highly

Lunuganga A unique and stunning location. We felt like weekend guests invited by Geoffrey Bawa. The house and guest buildings are beautifully preserved to ensure an authentic and unique experience. A big thank you to all the staff who work extremely hard to create the wonderful ‘house guest’ experience. Highly recommended.

Staying at Lunuganga was like stepping into a living work of art. The estate’s serene beauty, with its lush gardens and tranquil lake views, offered a peaceful retreat. The property is gorgeous and the staff are extremely kind and attentive. I loved the happy hour and the breakfast.

The bathroom in the room should be renovated. While I love the concept of the open air shower, there were a lot of bugs.
