The Westin Surabaya

I was touched by The Westin service, even before I arrived. Actually, we stayed here because my husband attended a meeting in this hotel for 3 days. We received a message from Agung one day before check-in, he took great care and made sure we got the best room as we requested. On the day I checked in, we met Agung in person as well. The check-in process was flawless and professional, since we had already communicated before. We got an early check-in and a very comfortable room. The housekeeping was also superb, the room maid Vici always gave us extra water in the room and bath salt to relax in the bathtub, even though we never asked, but he did it. Amazing. The restaurant for breakfast was excellent, greeted by Ulfi and escorted us to the table. We forget the name of your chef, he always ensured our food was nice and offered us another option. The waiter had a genuine smile that made us start the day with a positive ambiance. Well done, Westin, for sure we will be back for a holiday or just a staycation with family."

I stayed at The Westin Surabaya for two nights in September 2025 during a work trip, and it turned out to be one of those hotels that make even a business stay feel relaxing. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and every staff member I met—from the reception to the breakfast team—was warm, helpful, and genuinely accommodating. The location is unbeatable, directly attached to Pakuwon Mall, one of Surabaya’s largest shopping malls. It made everything convenient—whether you need a quick coffee, a minimarket run, or just want to unwind after meetings. For families, this setup would be a huge plus too, as you can easily find kid-friendly restaurants, toy shops, and even indoor play zones just a short walk away. My Westin Deluxe Room (39 sqm) felt spacious and thoughtfully designed, with enough room for two adults and potentially a small child. The two double beds were large and comfortable, and the small dining table with two chairs doubled nicely as a workspace. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet (with a bidet instead of a handheld spray), good water pressure, and plenty of counter space. Although this trip wasn’t with my kids, I noticed the hotel offers a kids’ club with slides and toys—definitely something to keep in mind for family visits. There’s also a pool, though not a dedicated kids’ pool, and a ballroom that worked well for our company event (aside from a brief Wi-Fi issue there). The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention—it’s the highlight of the stay. The variety was excellent, and the staff were happy to customize dishes like noodles (you can even request “mie ayam” style) or local specialties such as bubur Madura. There’s also an ice-cream station, which kids would love. Mom Tip: If you’re visiting with children, ask for a room with city view on a higher floor—it’s quieter and more relaxing after a day at the mall. And if you’re planning a full day indoors, the mall connection makes stroller use incredibly easy—everything is accessible and air-conditioned. Overall, I’d happily stay here again—whether for work or with family. It’s ideal for business travelers who want comfort and convenience, and for families who appreciate a hotel connected to great dining and shopping without needing to go far.

Very good luxurious hotel connected to a large mall. Quite accessible to most places in West Surabaya. Staffs were nice and friendly, Dyta at the reception was extremely helpful during check in. Room was large and clean with modern decoration. The TV doesn't have netflix or chromecast capabilities though. Overall a very good stay.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Also stayed at the hotel next to it, and what a world of difference. Westin is top notch.

Helt sublim service. Alt var rent og pænt Loungen var suveræn med beliggenhed øverst på hotellet med fantastisk udsigt over byen. Poolen var skøn Bedste hotel af de mange jeg har prøvet!
