Guest 1: Easily one of the worst stays we've been to. And the bad stay started at the beginning: - we booked two rooms (with balcony) for 67€ per night, immediately they gave one part of the group a small room with no windows next to the reception - the room with balcony we got was also different than in pictures, it also had some ants crawling around but that's the least of the issues. Our room didn't have hot water in the shower. In the middle of the room there were other doors, dutch taped at the bottom, that we later found out to connect to a nearby room (more on that later). The isolation of the rooms is so poor you can hear everything from the reception and here is where... The real issue starts: Two of the hotel staff kept drinking and smoking inside the kitchen, listening to very loud music and singing. This kept going on untill 2 am. We first asked them to keep it down at 12 am as it was impossible to sleep. They laughed it off. The second time it was at 12:30, the same story repeated. By 1 am multiple guests asked them to keep it down, the response of the workers was: "im sorry im working" and continued drinking, signing and listening to music. This debacle only came to an end when one of the guests lost it, slammed their doors a few times and shouted for them to shut up already. Our neighbor also made a complaint mid night, and then decided to take a shower and go to the toilet, which is when we figured out what the dutch taped door in the middle of the room was for. And you could hear EVERYTHING. How it continued: After leaving they tried to charge us the full price of both rooms, even though we didn't get what we ordered. After complaints they offered us a 10% discount for the one room, which isn't the price of other worse rooms that part of the group actually got. We made a complaint about the noise and sent video evidence to the manager.

Just the cleaning not really 100%, different standards

Breakfast was freshly prepared as you enjoyed the fresh fruit. Omelettes were very good. Location in an up market area with a number of Embassies. We had huge problem with taxi arrangement to Airport brilliantly sorted by the Housekeeper. Would recommend linking this hotel with hotel in Negombo without staying in faceless corporate entities.

Wi fi could be a bit iffy.

Very friendly staff and flexible timings. The room was well equipped.

Little expensive for the size of the room and bed is on the smaller side.

The A/C was extremely loud and it was so hot and humid in the room at the same time that I didn't want to turn it off, so I couldn't really sleep because of the volume. Also The loungers on the terrace were broken and had no cushions.

The staff were very kind and helpful. Thank you! The hotel and immediate area were nice and peaceful. Tasteful interior with paintings. There was a choice of SriLankan or Western style breakfast. The SriLankan breakfast was excellent. The omelette that came with the western style breakfast was also very good. The fruit platter was fresh and tasty. There was a nice outside seating area with plants. Rosmead Place by Thilanka is about a 20 minute walk from Colombo National Museum which is well worth a visit (highly recommended).

I stayed at this hotel for just one night, and it offered a convenient location close to the Fort Railway Station, making it ideal for travelers on the go. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free. My room was small but had a charming balcony and was aesthetically pleasing. For a short stay, it was a comfortable and efficient choice.
