"Jungle setting"

5.0

It was very unique. Breakfast was eggs and beans. Coffee and was good. The surrounding was very secluded in the jungle

Our bed was advertised as queen but was a double/full not a queen. The water pressure in the shower was low. The room was dark.

The setting

The room carries an overwhelming moldy odor that makes it nearly unbearable to stay in.

"Jungle experience but property needed updating"

5.0

Disclaimer: we didn’t stay at the property overnight so cannot review this part of the stay -clear directions from the owner and good communication via WhatsApp prior to arrival - jungle experience as advertised - WiFi works by the kitchen area

Upon arrival, we were greeted by a man (possibly the caretaker/gardener) who showed us to our room. In our limited Spanish, we had to ask for a key for the room (the door was open and there was no key provided), we had to ask about breakfast timings, we had to ask where the kitchen was, etc . There were no instructions given about using the kitchen (the pizza oven was being used for storage) and no instruction anywhere about how to operate the grill. Due to the dampness of the jungle, the rooms had a very damp smell and some of the decor was old/stained. There was no one else at the property (no sign of hosts mentioned in the other reviews. Other people had mentioned that the hosts made pizza in the evening with them or guacamole with them). We stayed for a few hours and didn’t see anyone else. We thought there would be the option for someone to do yoga or a sound bath with us for our afternoon activity but there was no one around. We brought our own food, as advised, and ate cold tacos for dinner before deciding to leave.

"Sweet Tree house"

9.0

This place is so cool. I've always wanted to stay in a treehouse in the jungle, and this place did not disappoint. We only stayed one night, so mostly we just chilled and listened to the birds and relaxed in the many hammocks and nice sitting spots. There's lots of common space for having a fire, yoga/chill room, pool, a shared kistchen, and an outdoor shower! The rooms all have unique features and thoughtful decorations. The breakfast was great. I could definitely see staying here for a week and doing some day trips to the beach, cenotes, and ruins that are all within 1 hour. Might have to rent the whole place out for a big birthday party!

It's in the middle of the jungle, so it gets a little humid and musty in the rooms.

"Amazing stay! Will come back <3"

10.0

Amazing stay! Really an oasis in the jungle. We both slept very well and spent hours relaxing in the hammocks reading and listening to the jungle sounds. The room was very comfortable and the surroundings was beautiful. The perfect relaxing start to our Yucutan adventure. We really enjoyed the breakfast, the room, the swimming pool and the hosts. An extra thank you to Sian for the book. We will definitely come back.

"Lovely cabin in the jungle"

10.0

The owner is really welcoming and gave us loads of great recommendations. We enjoyed using the wood oven and the campfire spot. It’s a beautifully decorated plot in the jungle. If you love staying in nature in a proper wood cabin and aren’t afraid of what can come with it, then this is a great place to stay. Lovely breakfast and the all staff were really kind. Loads of great things to do around and it feels a little bit out of the more touristy area. You definitely need a car to stay there.

Difficult to spot the entrance when arriving for the first time at night as it’s dark, on a fast road and there isn’t a sign on the road - make sure to come in slow when approaching by car.
