The design of the property was stunning, and it was the perfect place to get away from the carefully packaged vacation industry, and into a setting closer to nature.

The facilities are exactly like the pictures, all beautiful and well thought. Nicely decorated, everything had a detail. Breakfast was nice, although very limited (3 items only: beans, eggs and tortilla; no possibility to repeat). We were the only guests at the hotel, which felt a bit weird since they have I think 8 accomodations - if you like privacy and to have the place for yourself, it’s good!

They only serve water, so prepare to have to buy your groceries and cook. This caught us by surprise, as I think it wasn’t very clear in the hotel description and we were expecting a minibar at least since the hotel is very isolated. The wifi only works in the kitchen area and there’s no reception elsewhere.

Beautiful property just like the photos, very lush and peaceful. The outdoor rain shower was super nice, and the breakfast was delicious. The staff were friendly. The rooms were spacious and fairly comfortable. The cenote right across the street is the best one we’ve found—be sure to check out that one. Doing yoga in the morning was super nice, it has a beautiful studio up in the trees.

The power went out frequently, the hot water in the shower we paid extra for didn’t work most of the time (but actually the outdoor shower was much nicer anyway so we always used that), the plumbing is pretty bad so you could only flush the toilet once every 10-20 minutes it seemed like, and the bathroom smelled. While the breakfast was great, the coffee was really not good. The pool was cold and dirty, so we weren’t able to use it. The traffic was shockingly loud considering how remote the property is—I could hear cars and airplanes more than I could the surrounding nature which slightly ruined the tranquil atmosphere. The location is too far away to be able to really do anything besides the cenotes on the route unless you’re prepared to drive quite a lot. The property felt very lonesome, like it was missing some kind of social atmosphere or activities. We were totally alone most of the time, so it got quite boring in the evenings. The property seems built to be conducive to hanging out, so we were surprised that no one was ever there

I was on vocation with my father and we were treated Like Kings. I cant wait to be back.
