Nouveau Resort

Nouveau Resort is a good hotel with beautiful seaside view and clean pools. We stayed there for 3 days and 2 nights and booked 3 rooms. Food is good, and their staff are attentive (special mention to Earl, thank you for you courteousness service during our stay). They even found and returned my daughter’s slippers before we left the hotel. I would give it at 5 star rate if it werent for the following: Rooms: There are some improvements that needs to be done. The the vanity mirror in room 2229 is not mounted so it always falls of, it also has no hair blow dryer. Room 2232, upon entry had a certain foul smell but was later on addressed by the staff. The cafe needs more personnel as the serving time takes a huge while. All in all, the place is nice. Clean amenities and courteous staff. Would I recommend it? Definitely. Thank you Nouveau hotel. Nouveau Camiguin is SO BEAUTIFUL… sandwiched between the sea and the mountain. The beautiful pool and well-manicured landscape made us rush back to the resort after a morning of swimming at White Island, and another morning of snorkling at Mantigue Island, and a full day of touring the island of Camiguin. We loved our stay… my 7yo daughter loved the water playground… Tip: ask the staff to turn on the water since they keep it off if no one is playing to conserve water. Our teenage boys played volleyball at the outdoor court every afternoon. At night, we enjoyed Ping-Pong and Karaoke at the game room, a relaxing full-body massage at the spa room, or just rest in our very comfy beds in our very spacious and gorgeous Family Suite—this is perfect for our family of 5 with 2-bedrooms, 2-baths, and 2-patios with pool access… what a treat for our 2 teenagers and 7yo. The Breakfast Buffet had enough selection to satisfy the kids’ love for buffet breakfasts. Because I love a nice warm bowl of Chicken Tinola soup, we lunched at Mi Restaurant and tried their version called Surol (prepared with native chicken, and coconut milk); And at Waves Restaurant, we had their Seafood and BBQ Platter which had my favorite grilled Panga (grilled Tuna jaw). Tip: Food prep takes a bit long so preorder ahead especially if you are feeding hungry kids or if you are a big group. Very courteous staff… always ready with a smile and a willingness to help and answer any questions we have about touring Camiguin. Tip: In retrospect, it would have been best if the staff could have recommended for us to take their speedboat to Kinoguitan Port when CebuPac cancelled and rebooked our return flight to fly out of CDO. It would have been more efficient and comfortable than taking the ferry since we were a big group of family friends that could have cost-effectively split the speedboat cost. Nonetheless, exploring the island and staying at Nouveau Camiguin was a great experience shared with family friends. We loved Camiguin!

Kudos to the staff who were superb and very attentive to our needs. They were always eager to help. The place is really wonderful if you just want to relax and chill. My family and I are definitely coming back.

Unfortunately no beach area, and resort is big but food choices are a little limited...

Overcharged for additional people who have left after 1 night and charged us for all 3 nights despite showing them photos of people already on the ferry morning after the 1st day. One of our rooms had ants on the counter nonttop until check out. One of our rooms' next door room had an alarm ringing for almost 2 hours early in the morning waking up everyone, we had to call staff to fix iit which took them another 1 to.make it go away. Far from other restaurants and tourist spots. No dining options aside from the overpriced hotel restaurant Overpriced transportation. No beach access. Will not recommend

They will then charge you 450 pesos for each passenger to use their transportation service. So we paid 900 pesos for a ride to the airport vs 200 for a trike. Because the property is located in a remote area, or choice was to pay the exorbitant cab fare or walk down the street with our suitcases in a remote area looking for a trike. On the positive the pool and room are very nice 5 stars. Dinner was not anything special and pricy. Breakfast was very good. Overall I will not return and the transportation situation left a very bad taste!
